My first time hearing this song, and I agree it is rather sad. So many elderly folk fit into these lyrics, unseen, unappreciated and dismissed as unimportant.

Such a sad song. I can't get it out of my head. I chat to everyone. Particularly in the supermarket. They mostly seem to like it.
