No slams and mid-tempo parts missing on this one, but it sounds really more-oldschool than the older material! All my respect, if this was meant to be this way.
I find Slam Death to be a very delicate matter. If you don't execute it with creativity and motivation, you're due to create shit (like Waking the Cadaver and consorts)
Devourment would be nothing without it's technical abilities put to display on both releases (not constantly on BTW though)...
But i guess the new release will satisfy us both. More old-school features, darker athmosphere and still sickening slams whenever needed.

Some think Babykiller is their best song to date, some would agree on tracks like Devour the Damned, which concentrate more on brutality and technicality yet then slams. I like 'em all, because all their releases show the will to develop and not to become redundant. And that's most important.
They definitely know what they're doing. Incredibly sad that both the band and the Death Metal community lost Wayne Knupp. RIP YOU MOTHERFUCKER

If you don't you get ridiculed and labeled "wigger slam," a term that still baffles me.
