@fairfresh well can you be more specific? like as to where/which country/which city? cause there are many botanical gardens in the world and I don't know all of them :)
it's a crap puzzle it's one of those that doesn't take looking for the solution but simply shaking the puzzle and trying different alignments...turns out there there may be a chink in the piece or a spot that can only be accessed after rotating the pieces in a certain way
The report says it FIRST took Tim a few days to solve the puzzle. Of course it only takes him a few seconds to solve it now. He knows how to do it. I've solved that puzzle before too and in less time. I bet I could beat Tim.
no no no no no lets correct the title. parrot outsmarts ASIANS. not humans. two different things.....jeez that was racist sorry....no not sorry. asians arent real.
@s3k71on8 its not smart it just memorized some stupid chain puzzle and repeats the same thing over and over and over and over, , , , , , , and over and over again until it gets faster and faster
Japanese have lower knowledge? Hehehe I don't think so because they can use our technology and make it 10x better, and they have a very good work ethic.
Japanese also eat better than us too when they eat Fish, rice, fruits and vegetables. I would say that's pretty smart...don't ya think?

this makes it official, japs have lower knowledge than parrots, these things are easy to solve my mom got a longer one and solved it in 13.2 seconds, yes i timed it.ACHMED RULES!!!
To ffcloud321, if you can honestly do all of those metal rings in less than ten minutes, I'm pretty sure we would be able to hear you in some broadcast. Just stop, you fail.
Me and my friends had a whole box of those. I did them all in like 10 min and left all the pieces around the house. It does not take a human 1 hour to do that puzzle, as I am certainly not the smartest person in the world. It takes the same amount of brain power to get a big couch in a small door.
Well I think it's amazing that an animal can do that. Can't say parrots are smarter than humans though I think the title of the video is misleading. But parrots are intelligent not to the extent that it is more intelligent than humans. I have a parrot myself and I can say he is smart but not smarter than me.
i hate it when they try and make it seem like parrots and stuff are more intelligent than human beings thats just pathetic after alll are they not our pets?
Parrots mimic things like sounds and are experts at absorbing things. They are very smart. Although I think the parrot solved it once and then just memorized it cause thats how parrots talk they just memorize the words
I completely agree with the commentators that point out how misleading this story is.
Parrots are extremely intelligent animals, but this bird has been trained to perform a sequence of maneuvers using its beak and feet. It's not solving anything.
The parrot does not beat them. He solved the puzzle within a few days when he was first exposed to it, and now that he knows how to do it he can do it faster than a person who has never been exposed to it.
The parrot practices. If a human practices as well, they learn the secret and can solve the puzzle faster than the parrot. I don't see what puts the parrot above the average human in this puzzle, but it's still a cool trick.
That isn't solving the puzzle, that's fucking breaking the puzzle

Like many people, parrots definitely enjoy a good challenge. Our parrot enjoys untying knots and would probably love to try out this puzzle.
(gopherdude: Technecly? Really?)
AnimalSites 3 years ago 4
Technecly the parrot "beat" the puzzle within a few days and everyone else beat in it an hour.
The parrot has probebly memorized how to solve the puzzle so this can't be counted as a non-human animal beating a human.
It's still pretty wild that a parrot figured out that puzzle though, looks pretty hard.
