  • GO YANKEES! Finally they got more pitchers!

  • the house that roids built!

  • CANT BELIEVE SUCH AN ICONIC VENUE/LANDMARK WAS TAKEN DOWN LIKE IT WAS AN OUTDATED TACOBELL.....SHOWS THAT THE USA HAS SOLD ITSELF OUT AND LOST ITS TRADITION AND GREAT HISTORY....IVE BEEN TO THE NEW STADIUM AND WHILE ITS GOT MORE GLITZ AND GLAMOUR IT JUST DOESNT HAVE THE SAME INTIMATE FEELING...THE GOOSEBUMPS JUST ARENT THERE...I WAS ON THE FIELD FOR A CANCER SOCIETY EVENT AND WAS RIGHT ON FIELD NEAR YANKEE DUGOUT...IT JUST WASNT NEARLY WHAT IT WUD HAV BEEN IN OLD YANKEE STADIUM.JUST MY OPINION

  • Yankee Stadium Sr. Dead at 85 R.I.P.

  • I wish that I would have go to go to Yankee Stadium at least once...

  • Great video and great songs. Evokes memories of when as a kid I got to see the Yankees, the Mick,Roger,Yogi,Elston,Bobby,Tony,Clete,Joe,Whitey, and so many more after them. I hope that the greatness of the team and it's tradition continues at the new Yankee Stadium.

  • i personly wish we still had the old stadium

  • @wtfman591 going to be curse of the bambino part 2

  • Red Sox fan here but Yankee Stadium was Baseballs grand ball park. It beats Fenway and Wrigley hands down. I went to Yankee stadium in both ALCS of 03, 04 all four games in both series of those year. You could just fell the history in that place. This coming from a Red Sox fan.

  • I have a book on Yankee Stadium and I like ALWAYS read it. And I'm going to keep it forever.

  • I-I'm crying right now.

  • This is a terrific video tribute to a great ballpark. It's amazing how many of the games highlighted in this video I was actually at. My greatest memory was one opening day back in the late 60's when I was about 12 years old and we skipped school. After the game, we ran out onto the field, which was allowed in those days. We ran to the monuments in center and I looked back to home plate and I remember how far away it was. People standing at home plate were only visible from the knees up!!!

  • I sat in the dugout of original Yankee stadium in 1970 with my little league teammates. Elston Howard was our tour guide. Yankee stadium was a cathedral of baseball - the facade was immense and the outfield dimensions were what made it special. They should have made the new stadium the same as they were in 1970 instead of the band box it is today.

  • If they'd just kept the one they reopened in 1976 it would've been fine, but this new one will never be Yankee Stadium to me. The mid-70's renovation made sense from just about every standpoint imaginable, and I think even those fans who grew up with the team in the 50's and 60's could see the need for a renovation and still appreciate the stadium for what it was. But the new stadium is a shrine to excess and greed. It will never feel like home to me.

  • @dzanier its like losing your home...

  • this video brings a tear to my eye. im 16 now, ive been to 5 yankee games at the original stadium, and 1 at the new stadium. Personally, I like the Old one better. The original had so many great things happen in its history. Its just so weird walking into the new one. Because the new one, really hasnt had as much history (yet) the '09 world series, yea, but what else? Even though its not there anymore, i can still picture it when i drive by it.

  • Makes me want to cry... RIP ol' girl D: many good memories but hey 27th title in new house!

  • Old Yankee Stadium was 461 ft. and 457 ft. to either side of dead center field. A hitter could blast a ball to deep center field and still have it caught. Whitey Ford conservatively estimated that Mickey Mantle hit at least 200 balls to the warning tract in center field at Yankee Stadium. The would have been home runs in any other park in baseball.

  • Thank you for sharing this. Some of my happiest days were spent here. It's painful just to think that this place is gone. Now that it's gone, the boro seems to have lost its guiding lights. This place provided an experience that can't be put into words. It's only been 2 years and I miss it - alot. The only thing left are memories, which sucks because you can't put your arms around a memory.

  • @ cstorer88 thats right #28 were on our way again

  • born n raised in the bx n die hard yankee fan...great vid n choice of song..GO YANKEES N #28 HERE WE COME!!!

  • Great video - thanks for putting this out! I'm a lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area and a huge Giants fan, but I have respect for the Yankees and their 27 World Series titles. I was able to get up to The Bronx on the #4 line when I've been in NYC and walk around the outside of the old Yankee Stadium and the new Yankee Stadium.
