@woyya123 and @girotube guys just chillout and enjoy the video, I'm sure Simon has his own reason as to why he was using superstars in this clinic. The sound comes from "him". His tuning, miking and processing, playing style, the way he hits the drums/dynamics and the gear he decides to play on all contribute to "That" sound. Your arguments are pointless, so unless you are simon phillips then just enjoy this captured moment of an amazing drummer!

So your trying to tell me that a he can make a tama rockstar bottom on the rung kit sound like a star classic bubinga?? Those kits cost and are made completely differently for a reason. If it was that easy everyone would buy cheap kits and learn how to tune for free!! His tunings are the same and always pulls a great tone because he uses good gear...

@woyya123 LOL On my original comment, which is a year old by the way you troll, I MENT that he can carry his tone to any drum set... IT IS OBVIOUS on this video; even with the cheap camera mic..
