Are there more videos from this show? I want more of Steve Jordan laying it down like that, his kit sounds so fucking sweet! Not to mention he is the master of the groove...
Steve isn't the only one who can play it, but it will only allow such perfect sound to exude from itself when played by Steve himself...hence the name.
But seriously, it actually is called "Steve's" It's the Yamaha Signature Steve Jordan Snare. Roughly 600-something dollaz.
the fill on "wait until tomorrow" from where the light is before the chorus where he does that groove on the snare to the hi hat hits is why i think he is the greatest drummer ever.
@phoneboothplus1 No - in fact, it's actually sometimes quite hard to keep a groove like Steve does.....there's a lot of intricacies with his style. For example; how awesome is how bass drum work and the SOUND of his bass drum? Reminds me of the great Motown drummers.....

Ooh since when Steve Jordan uses matched grip?
SengKiat93 2 years ago
Drummers like him are masters at both forms. When he needs to lay down that sick backbeat, he goes to matched. Steve is the man.

he uses both depending what type of beat i think
