Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins? I agree, prog or pop ... a rose yet smells as sweet? ... They are both awesome artists, in my book. Phil Collins can sure play the drums, if nothing else, and Peter Gabriel's compositions on albums like IV are extraordinary, imho. Lamb Lies Down is a fantastic album.

Misunderstanding was and /is an excellent song. I have been a fan since Nursery Crimes. Very few songs I dont care for. The GREATEST progressive rock band of our time! Your time !

The only reason why Phil was succesful was because he and Genesis sold out by that point; he lacks the musical ability or complexity that Peter had. That being said, pop genesis was still nice, and Phil was still a lovely singer (despite no real vocal range).
Stats don't matter when it's pop; things become popular by fad. At least Genesis had quality behind that surface though.
So short but yet so soulful... Brilliant, it's great to find these songs on YouTube. This album and We Can't Dance are my favorites from the Rutherford-Banks-Collins era.
Looking at the comments, it looks like a lot of people haven't touched on the classics such as 'Harold the Barrel'.
