convert your cube, choose polygon-mode. select the front-side-polygon - then drag&drop the coloured material to the selected polygon. done!

is painting in bodypaint similar to polypainting in zbrush? If you are painting a low resolution object in bodypaint, the result is the same as a high resolution obj or is it the same as zbrush?
