@chrisbina55 I think the better way is to find a teacher who'll show you how to hold and play the violin good, you know, hold the archer, hand positions, tune the violin, and all those kind of things. This can be done in one or two lessons.

After, they may are some books to use but the ears' work is very important : there's no mark on the neck so you've to practice a lot to find the notes and make'em sounds good.

Be sure there's no one around when you do that, 'cause that's really a pain lol
