  • Hell. I like Jim Beam. It's Jack that I can't stand.

  • It's true. The first swig of Jim Beam is disgusting, but no-one drinks it for the taste.

  • Could someone explain that "Nic nic nic, fif fif fif ... Indians" - thing to me? I just dont get it, maybe because im not from english speaking country. So thanks for info!

  • @CitM1988 I heard it was something he learned from a crew member, or another cast member on set. I'm sure there's a better answer out there somewhere.

  • @CitM1988 He uses the famous "nic-nic" phrase which he had actually picked up in part from the man on staff in charge of starting the bikes. The patch holder would jump on the kicker pedal saying "nic-nic-nic-FIRE!" while trying to start the bikes. George makes a toast to D. H. Lawrence, who's grave Jack and Dennis had slept on the day before. At the end of "nic-nic" he says "Indians!". Jack and Dennis had spent much of the previous day hanging out with local natives.

  • @CitM1988 The thing is...we don't get it either. It is an off-the-cuff nonsequitur, meaning it was something silly and nonsensical that Nicholson heard someone else do and then repeated it because it was quirky and made people laugh in a "huh, WTF" manner.

Imagine that you took a drink of nasty whisky and it gave you Tourrettes Syndrome. It's kind of like that.

  • Jack Nicholson saved this movie from its impending DOOM.

  • ♫ On the road again...♫

  • This is winning, folks.

  • My dad does this constantly

  • Yahhhhh! Nic nic nic, fb fb fb, keyaaahhhh! Indians!

  • that jim beam looks a little weak...

  • @1993softailcustom looks very watered down :P

  • @MoralisticAthiest looks like you and soft tail never saw a real bottle of whiskey, cuz maybe youre from canada??? or some other gay country,,,hey...just busting yer bawlz...they drank reak whuskey, and smoked real pot in that movie...not that i condone such pampant abuse of the laws of the great nation in which i reside...but, really...hold a bottle to the sky, and look at it...um...looks right to me...and what are you bitching about, anyway??? the color of the booze makes you unhappy??? bitch

  • @iamthewindwalker So sorry my one comment on the interwebz upset you so :P

  • @MoralisticAthiest huh??? i replied to that??? must have been in the weeeee hours...but im not upset...or am i??? see i drink canadian whiskey, anyway, but they DID smoke real pot, and drink real whiskey in that movie...if it even matters....

but seriously....how can an atheist have morals? were all just swamp goo, to you, right? and if we evolved, then how long would it take us to evolve into Gods?

and how long has time existed....surely SOMEone must be a God by now.....

  • @iamthewindwalker Swamp goo? Man get them words out of my mouth lol. I don't think were swamp goo I think we are a very unique form of life that has developed in ways which are still a mystery. But the belief in something which has no proof is kinda fallacious, even YOU must agree windwalker.

"How can an atheist have morals" Easy, because im a kind generous and compassionate person and I have no need for an invisible friend to force me to be that way through fear of a firey pit of death :)

  • @MoralisticAthiest what makes you think He's invisible????

as far as the kind, generous compassionate part...spoken like a true christian!!! good job!!!

  • @iamthewindwalker I think he's invisible due to the fact I have never seen him :)

I believe the term is good human ;) Good Human

  • haha that's how i feel when i take shots of henny..i'ma a light weight

  • Jack Nicholson is class . Never seen a bad movie with him appearing in it . Most are great and some are the best movies around .

  • @SPARKY53100 Recent movies have been ass. Like Anger Management. It's just a novelty of his persona.

  • Nicholson is terrific actor. He won many critics' awards for the Best Supporting Actor of this year (1969). But, the movie is sadly dated. The Academy was right by giving the Oscar to Gig Young for the substantial "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?"

  • I have a mate who still does that on raw whiskey ... for so many years :-)

  • I heard Jack took some kind of tick someone working on the film had and twisted it a bit and this was the result. What a pro.

  • Nick nick nick nick, fuh fuh fuh fuh fuh fuh!.... ahhhhhhhhh indians!

I make that sound sometimes when I wake up for my morning stretch, its quite thereaputic, drives the wife crazy...LOL!

  • I can take it straight. But it's a bit much lol!

  • Did anyone notice the cop passing by in the background as we went on his rant?

  • That's not so great.

  • Monty Python stole the Nick, Nick from this...Seen this movie dozens of times, it never gets old!

  • best jack nicholson line ever

  • good, but not as funny as dennis hopper's facial reaction to the strength of the jim beam.

  • fucking fantastic film! blows my mind

but seriously, i want those jack nicholson sunglasses!

does anyone know what they are?

  • everytime i drink whiskey i do that little hand pump

  • STUPID

  • That was awesome never seen it before Jack is the best by far. That reminded me so much of a good friend. Legalize Freedom stop criminalizing weed.

  • this is why i love jack nicholson

  • PBR, Jim Beam, HD's, and a 59 Ford. I've had em all. Never put that all together until now. Still one of the best scenes of any movie ever.

  • I COULD WATCH THIS FOREVER!!!!

  • @iamthehatecrew Yesss!

  • i wa a kid when i seen this .... it was quite enlightining.......Jack was a highlight in this Picture ...and so funny

  • This is how I feel after having my first STRONG cup of coffee in the morning! : )

  • that totally just inspired me to take a straight shot

  • @detroitMC313 i just took a shot and then immediately decided to watch this clip lol

  • everytime I have a drink of wisky I always nick nick nick, ! phwew injuns!

  • Nic nic nic..... Oh to be young again and be able to have a whiskey buzz first thing in the morning..... "Never trust a man that doesn't drink."

  • @corebare Dostoevsky right? It's a great scene i love how Jack is the town drunkard and lawyer at the same time.

  • @0live0wire0 Is there a difference between the town drunkard and a lawyer ??

  • Legend Strikes!

  • *Takes a drink*

    AHHH!

    nICK NICK NICK

    Indians...

    wow thats good lol

  • ¿Por qué hace la gallina? ¿No le gusta el sabor del whisky?

  • Jack Nicholson's role of George Hanson was originally to be played by Rip Torn, but after a fight between Torn and Hopper, Nicholson was brought in.

  • damn this movie looks good, gonna get some movies where jack nicholson plays.

  • I think I need a little history lesson. What do Indians have to do with the whiskey? What does DH Lawrence have to do with it?

  • You know I thought this was great the first time I saw it.- But it was so obscure I never 'got' it ', - till I was watching Bob Hope in 'Paleface', and threre's a scene where Bob does just about the same scene... Jack's homage to Bob ? dont know , could be ....

  • jack nice

  • this guy is sooo cool

if I could laugh like him.. :D

  • I Watched This Because Of The Beth Booper Movie

  • i hate the way jack nicholson dies at the end

  • @The1superbeatlefreak he didn't die "at the end"

  • A rock n'roll tribute to Mister Hopper on our page !

    RIP

  • Yeah, rest in peace... but I thought then and I think now that this movie was a real stinkeroo. How is that commune coming along these days? Yeah, right...

  • If you look into this clip you will find out that Jack stole this thing off one of the actual crew members in the movie. The crew member was told to never do it again for fear that after that, everyone would say he stole it off Jack. Strange, but TRUE!

  • Those of you who think this trifecta of actors owned this movie, raise your hand.

    Have a nice holiday.

  • Yes, this is one of the funniest things Jack says in the movie. Although when Dennis Hopper says "we're not no traveling bureau". when those two hippie women ask them for a ride over the hill from that commune they are staying, I think it sounded just as hilarious. If not on first viewing, on seconds maybe. seemed to come out of left field or nowhere, but maybe i'm wrong. He says it to Peter Fonda after one of the hippie women asks Peter Fonda for the favor.

  • "To old D.H.Lawrence" --- I don't understand. What does it mean D.H.Lawrence? Was he a hard drinker or what?

  • does anyone know the movie where jack goes nuts and has a rant while hes talking to a complaining woman and sounds something like "go outside!!!, do something with your life..and open some windows for once, its starting to smell like a goddamn coffin in here!!!"....not exact quotes but very similar.

  • @fender50 search for "now affection is contempt" and go to 7 min 24 sec.

  • HAHAH! I love this!

  • isn't easy rider a brand of contraception?
