Yunalesca only took me two tries because i'm a grind whore so besides the epicness of the scenes, I had no real complaints. This only plays when you fight annoying bitches!
Yunalesca brings annoying memories...but I associate this song with one challenge only...and that was Seymore Flux on MT Gagazet the first time round -.-

The first time i played through FFX (when I was 10) i couldn't be bothered fighting the weaker creatures so I simply ran from each fight. That came back to bite me in the ass big time in this fight. It actually took (no joke) about 50 attempts to win. Second time I played through I did fight those weaker monsters (so I was big time powered up), and it was very very easy.
Yunalesca was actually really easy to beat, for me...Not so much the first time around, but then when I realized that she just fucked everyone with Zombie, I got the hang of it. The second time, I beat her in less than 5 minutes. Then again, I guess it helped that all my characters did like 8,000 damage...hehehe
This music actually reminds me more of the one battle at the end of Operation Mi'ihen. I heard this for quite a bit while building overdrive for Requiem.

I fucking hated the Yunalesca fight. The length of that fight could have equaled a time length of a final boss in a few other Final Fantasy games. I know Sephiroth did NOT take as long as the Yunalesca fight. Great song though. It has such an awesome feel to it. Like, this may be hard, but were going to kick some serious ass.

All I can remember saying at this stage is"This @#$%^ about to catch a beatdown, Me and my crew about the knock the weave outta her head"!! And then "BAM"!!!!...Mega Death!!! I felt so damn small, I could of walked outta that room with the damn door closed. At that moment I was a tiny ass dude in a big $#@&*%+ Final Fantasy X World(lol). I feel ya "NaroHina".
@Eragarev Those battles were hard though, if you didn't do it right from the start. Seymour Flux was pretty easy if all your Aeons had their overdrive gauges filled up, as well as the character's overdrive gauges. Yunalesca was just a freaking bitch, and I never liked that battle, but Aeon's overdrives helps a lot there too.
when i fought yunalesca, I always tried to block the first megadeath using an aeon to take the hit, I had to grind a lot of exp to make it so I could ha ve one left when the attack got used.
i remember using all my Life Candle to give the Deathproof to Tidus' shield....i hadnt enough for all the party....i was going to use them to obtain the Deathstrike Ability but,oh well.
i remember lady yunalesca took me so long to beat i remember there was a part where she made a move to kill your whole party..i was like how am i going to beat this bitch lol
Got to love Yunalesca. First she counters our moves with dark/silence/sleep, annoying as hell. Then she grabs some tentacles and starts to zombie us. It was fine, i just used holy water, no biggie. When i killed that form, i pissed myself when i saw that screaming medusa head. And not only that, she continues with a Mega-Death and kills off all my characters since i spammed holy water last phase <.<.
When i was at the game over screen i just sat there, doing nothing, with an open mouth. XD

It's not common for someone to bust out ring modulator sounds in a game thing. This is one of the coolest boss themes I've ever heard. It does a perfect job of making the player think that he might really get his ass kicked.
