-: GIANT NEWS FLASH :- 1) Klaus Badelt did NOT write any music for Ridley Scott's academy award winning masterpiece, Gladiator. All the music was written by academy award winning composer HANS ZIMMER and LISA GERRARD. 2) Klaus Badelt officially orchestrated some of the themes written by Hans Zimmer for the movie. 3) Klaus Badelt has YET to compose something of true originality. Most of his sounds are rip-offs of HANS ZIMMER & Harry-Gregson Williams. -: TRUE FACTS :-
ah yeah sure, just like Hans Zimmer wrote the music for The Lion King, while he did nothing and put someone else on the job (Mark Mancina). Hans Zimmer has some good music out there, but has to give the right people the credits for it.
By chance, do you have any of his Romeo + Juliet tracks? I can't find any of them on here - just songs put to the clips of the movie. I enjoyed the score far more.
This song is perfect to relax and think about the good in life whether you are working or just trying t oget out of something that causes pain or suffering you think of peace
Don't be - Elke8501 is wrong as well as rude. The song is by Klaus Badelt and ARRANGED by Hans Zimmer. Same set up as Pirates of the CAribbean and lots of other great film scores. Ignorant rude people often make this mistake.
That's right. Hans Zimmer and Klaus Badelt work on alot of their pieces together. I've often found that they'll borrow music phrases from eachother. The music that's playing when the Eloi attack in the Time Machine (by Klaus Badelt) has an small part in the big battle scene of King Arthur (by Hans Zimmer).
This song sings to the very depths of your soul. Nice photo too.

This song makes death seem at ease and very calming. We're all going to die one day, so we might as well live it up while we're living.

then why did Hans Zimmer win the academy award for best original score in a movie in 2000 for Gladiator and not Klaus Badelt?
He might have helped but its not his... google it.
evilbunz 4 years ago
It is the other way, Badelt helped Zimmer;). But I'm with you, Klaus Badelt en Lisa Gerrard also should have got credit for it.
Love the soundtrack
