The easiest way to tell it's pre-rendered is that on the 360 and PS3 version it just goes into the song from the intro with no pausing. The Wii version has that tutorial screen in an attempt ti cover it up.

To clarify (since I've experienced the difference firsthand), the Wii's graphics are better than the PS2's, but inferior to the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Gamplay-wise, it shouldn't be any different though, I own Guitar Hero Metallica and the only difference between the 360 and PS3 versions and the Wii version is just the resolution and character rendering. Also, it's pretty clear that the intro to this game is rendered. It stands out. lol.

the dj hero graphics on wii are pretty good aswell i think the developers were focusing more on the features than the design
