  • That's how u make beats

  • how did you pitch shift so fast????

  • @zobodobokobo Its not actually pitch shift per se... I just tuned it down with the knob...same way you adjust pitch on a turntable. That kind of pitch change

  • Maaaan this would be a banger. Only 10 mins is crazy man. Sort the levels out a bit and now that's a tuneeee. Nice one as always Knock

  • What's name of song or group!? I can't found.

  • Woooooo kid

  • Damn that beat goes off! Great fuckin vid

  • Get up! This shit is dope

  • HOLY MOLY this is so awesome! :O

  • how do you get the pads to cut off when you let go of them?

  • @Blesonederful Set the pad to ADSR mode in the sampler module.

  • @ZeroWing where is that at? cant seem to find it

  • Nice scratch.

  • check out my channel djlea1985

  • i have that same turntable and fast track ultra. will u tell me how to plug em in so i can sample?

  • Im lovin it man!

  • GET UP ON YO FEEEEETTTTTT~!!!!

  • REALLY ENJOYED THE VIDEO

  • V Good

  • Nice remix cat daddy...^^ funky with a twist

  • damn this is dope man what turntable is that?

  • Hell yeah, I just bought one last night!

  • Dude! put your turny up verticle so you don't knock the needle like that. dang.

  • @FINDYOCHIN ..lol..ok I will do that

  • holy....fuck..........

  • @PolymorphProductions Hope thats good !

  • That beat is awesome :D

  • @DJjohnhanson Thanks Bro !

  • Hi Knock, could u please tell me how is it possible to sample with mashicne? I mean i probably cant sample from mp3, can I? U could sample only from vinyl? Is it conneceted to a computer or directly to the maschine? Thanks

  • @tomasso8902 software side = .wav only.... there are midi ports on the maschine so any external devices you may have, you are able to sample from them as well.

  • @tomasso8902 connected to an audio interface. No audio plugs directly into maschine hardware. Whatever your soundcard or audio interface is make sure that you open up maschines settings and make that the interface that maschine uses

  • great mixes and style man, props for that, but i have one question... im about to get a maschine - my questio is: Did you learned that thing by yourself or was u looking for tutorials ? if so, can u give me some tips for getting fast in this whole thing ? Peace

  • @dulebmw I learned this by applying what I learned on the MV8000 to maschine. I learned my sample technique on the MV by seeing SkiBeatz do it on Youotube with his MV (years ago) So in a sense you could said I learned from watching Ski

  • @KnockSquared do u think the maschine is better then the mpc?

  • @KnockSquared As it does for the sound of the turntable it remains in the Mazchine regards from Colombia

  • I NEED THIS RECORD haha would please share that intell?? or is it classified? :P

  • @bboyjokersolidcrew Stars on 45 Long play album side a part 1

  • this has me sold goddamn!

  • Are the samples auto stretched to match the tempo??

  • @CHANNELDEREK Whats up. No I just pitched them down. No time stretchin was involved

  • @CHANNELDEREK no I pitched them manually

  • You wouldn't happen to be willing to share the sample that you used on this would you? Very dope man.

  • @777tylersmithmusic Stars on 45 Long play album side a part 1

  • im going get one soon but i have mpc500 and too me the sound on mashine sounds abit digital you can hear on all videos still going get but keep the mpc

  • What is your deck going into ? whats this set up ?

  • I like your approach in this video! No bla, bla, bla ... just music! Nice work!

  • kool maschine

  • I just wanted to know if you ever finished this, it's sick as hell brotha. Get back at me and keep these bangers comin'.

  • next video, please take the tone arm off the turntable. The constant movement/vibration on the table while your working comes through the tonearm sitting on the vinyl and gives a "tinny" noise. Otherwise... very sick.

  • nice sampler

  • i just wanta say ur a liar...cuz that sir is a banger....lol

  • How is gramophone connected to maschine ? via usb or what ? HELP !!!

  • @MazurProduction ...gramophone?

  • knock, can you tell me (or can anyone else, for that matter), how to import mpc programs into maschine? I'm lovin' this beast, & would LOVE to have my mpc programs running in here!!! Thanx!!

  • @hairbear2705 You just browse them on your harddisk and load them. watch?v=7zYgRBOWJZE Cheers

  • Sick!!!

  • excellent job bro i liked the entired beat hot hot hot

  • was wondering where your other hand was ;)

  • Man, this device has damn near made my Fantom X6 OBSOLETE!!! I don't know whether to hate it for making me feel like the $2,000.00 was a waste, or to focus on how much I love the way this damn thing moves.

  • @refuse2bstopped Fantom is NEVER a waste Bro !!! Matter of fact I would love a fantom ! I would just midi out my maschine and use the fantom as a sound device. I LOVE the Fantom.

  • @KnockSquared Yeah, I was just really saying just how much I like the maschine lol But the Fantom X6 is a beast in it's own right, especially with some of the sounds.

  • @KnockSquared thats what im doing

  • I thought that this didn't have a line input... how are you sampling straight from the turntable..? or am I missing something?

  • @m83shoegazer no line ins..its hooked to computer.

  • @m83shoegazer Audio Interface

  • amazing work, my man!

  • whats the track called?

  • can you tell me the name this music?

  • dont mistake it the machine is just a midi controler i have an mpc 5000 and its the best thing thus far hence the title"the flag ship"instant chops 80g harddrive anolog synth generater and apreggiater i can hook anithing up to it from mics and guitars to keybords and midi contolers its abit big but i even take out to the living room and sample of the tv and whatever i do desire...the machine is best in class..its class but if you get and mpc 3000 and up you gotta put on the big boy pants

  • @arsnikmc I agree the MPC is legendary and still a great product (I owned a few) but your statement that Maschine is "just a midi controller" is crazy. Stop looking on the surface...LOL

  • @KnockSquared so can you sample and create a beat inside Maschine without it being plugged into a computer? Does it have internal memory?

  • @KnockSquared yo u are a really dope with that Maschine when i get my mpc 500 im gonna do mad damage. right now im only using fl studio i know u probably gonna knock me 4 that but that's all i have right now . but when i get some money .im buying my self a mpc or this shit your using .which one u think i should get .

  • @LEZTHEGOON Lez...dont get it twisted Bro ! I would not get on you about using FL Studio. Why?? Because I use it ALL THE TIME. I can care less what ANYONE says about me using it. Its one of the best DAWs Out Period. I own pretty much every Daw and FL wins all the time. I rock the Maschine as my main but if its strictly software...its FL Studio. As far as choice betwee the Mpc 500 and maschine... not even a close race... MASCHINE !!

  • i dont like to work with computers when i make music. Just for record

  • Wow is this all it takes? A turntable and Maschine? :O I only have a macbook with Logic to make beats, so sampling is really 'computerized' the way I do it, this seems so much more 'human'.. if that makes sense :P Nice flip by the way, u make dope beats KnockSquared :)

  • @PtCobra yeah its a joint he did with I think Lloyd banks called GET UP . google it

  • where did you get the "get your ass on dancefloor and move it" part?? :) it's awesome and sooo sought after by many music-makers :) I' mean of course the acapella version

  • @daking1406 it sounds like 50 Cent man.

  • SO HOTTT the track, wow, the MPC is dead, long live maschine

  • how is your record player connected to your Maschine

  • I'm trying to figure out if I want to buy "The Maschine" I'm not sure yet I was out with a friend of mine yesterday Producer Chuck Nice Of Three Times Dope looking at it. He thinks I should go ahead and do it I'm just not sure though......where are you from?

  • fuk bro i cant believe u did that...its fukin amazin i never got good at samplin..im still tryin...ur the king..iv seen most of ur vids ur a funny dude i like that...love the abc track the kids too cute in it..keep up the amazin work bro..peace

  • @adityasujan yo thank you for that Bro !

  • I loved my MPC1000. Only problem is that after 1 year the buttons started to break down. Now the 'Main' button is broken the MP is useless. I am wondering how robust the NI Machine buttons are? Do they break down?

  • @uptightkid The pads have a nice feel. The controller doesn't feel cheap at all. I've had my Maschine almost a year now and the controller still looks like it just came out of the box yesterday. I have seen cases where one in one pad will become dimmer after a few years of use, but this type of wear can be expected with any piece of equipment.

  • Wow, too bad this beat is the dopest thing ever.

I was talking about the beat, but maschine is too.

  • Comment removed

  • I like the G-funk feel!

  • Nice to see how you fast you can twist a track into another style. I´m looking for a MPC or a Maschine too. Still dont know wich one to choose:)

  • @norphies You cant go wrong with either....but maschine is without a doubt the future. But then again the MPC is legendary. You win with both.

  • I've never looked back since I got Maschine, it changed how I do things. Disco to hip hop works so well. Just about any disco track works. Nice work on all your vids!

  • I have my synthesizer hooked up to my interface and I try to sample some sounds and the sound only comes out the right speaker and the wav format doesnt show up. I can hearthe sound but it only out the right speaker. how do i fix this?

  • how to you change the speed of the sample with the machine? also is there a way to change the machine so when you press a key for a sample to play it will not play the whole thing... so basically it don't play the whole sample?

  • how do you change the speed of the recorded sample with the machine?

  • you sir, are a bad m0+h3r F|?C|<er

do you work that into a live setting? mines coming in the mail today

  • how did you sample from the computer?

  • Nice....keep on wit it!

  • Nice. Question though, I imported a sample and sliced and have to trim, trim, trim. like how are capturing exactly what you want from the record your playing without trimming?

Also, when I slice and try to use the sample in Logic, it keeps playing the whole sample...

  • As easy as it is to get started on Maschine, how do you upload samples? I'm trying to get a song on my iTunes into the sampler but when I go into the folder, it keeps coming up as "no importable files have come up in the selected folder." Help please.

  • @NicolasYates mp3 not supported as far as i know... wav and aiff, rex are good

  • @dimafilippovv

I figured it out now. you can just convert joints on iTunes into WAV format. I'm just trying to figure how to play live hi-hats while recording over a track.

  • @dimafilippovv

But what's that cord you use to link the turntable to your Maschine?

  • 81 and 82 were good too-Kleeer:)

  • this some G SHIT ..

  • You killed day hoe bro

  • Yo, Can you help me out? i just got the mashcine. How do you connect your turntable directly to your maschine??? are you using a usb turntable?

  • @diesuckslife

not sure if you got this question answered, I ran across it since I’m getting mine today and am doing research. sampling the turntable is easy, you just need an outboard soundcard, or I/O device. then select it in machine. it’s a lot easier than you might thought. hope this helps

  • Nice Job man! Way to put those samples together!

  • Nice Job man!

  • do u need a computer to use this

  • nice job man. didn't care to much for the 50 cent samples, but the way you showed the Maschine workflow and sampling features was very good. Great video.

  • hey man i got a mpc 2000 and want to sample from a record plaer like this can u tell me everything i need to do this?

  • hey man is this gear works independend from the pc like the mpc? i mean do u got a multytrack build in it and internal sound libary?

  • Im actually Waiting for my Maschine to Arrive today (ups) So im watching some videos! trying to get ready! like this video! O.N.P. !!!

  • EXCELLENT!!!

  • what's the name of the song?..I want to try and sample it :)

  • awesome dude! my maschine's on it's way. I can't wait to start ripping up old tracks and making fresh new sounds out of them! :D

  • 2:10 hurts

  • alright Mr Squared... you have blown my mind for the last three months and my girlfriend is about to KILL me because of videos and performers such as yourself. I really REALLY want to get started with something like this. I have played music for 15 years and really want to star mixing together some of my singing/guitar and remix stuff together, and your the inspiration... Question though all your records, where do you find these awesome samples? any advice in how to find such quality ??

  • Dope stuff here man! How does the turntable interface with macshine? Is it connected directly via the rca lines or do you run it through the computer?

  • Pretty cool sampling! :)

  • like what your doin keep it up bro

  • i think you need to learn how to handle a stylus

  • Comment removed
