I have a scoop on the avengers movie, well for thos who might find it interesting :). two armors of iron man will be in it, he will have the mark 6 and later on the new armor from the posters.
Think i'll get this one and make it my last pred i didn't get it first time round and it looks almost the same i wonder how much it will be selling for i see a pre-order on ebay for £200 hope it comes down a bit.
lololololol I saw it the comic con but they did not showed the extra head there, it looks that the best way to fix the problem of the bio mask is having two heads just like the neca one, I am so happy about it, some people are very pissed, cause this one looks so much better, looks jut like the classic from the movie and the head does not look big and ugly like the other predator the extra bio mask looks non battle damge hot toys I love you.
The unmasked sculpt looks awesome man. I have them all and im not pissed. The more the merrier and im glad they have improved him. Side by side, i feel that they will be noticably different looking preds!
I have the P1 and i am pist that they made this but at the same time happy, i dont think i could have my P1 in my detolf when this pred is out since its basically the same but so much better, i think im going to have to sell my P1 and get this guy for sure!..but damn, why cant hot toys just make figures right the first time around!!...

@kungfoolai Well I have a V1 with the Bank Robber head. To be honest I never felt the need to get the DX, so I will see if this is any better. I would rather have a Joker Jack anyway

When I first saw the pictures of this figure from SDCC I thought "ok, the mask is not removable so the ones who own the original P1 won't be pissed off for this new predator release" but they're actually including an extra unmasked headsculpt with removable mask! I would be really pissed off! Same if I own the original Batman Begins figure or the Mark I (I've heard HT is going to release a new Mark I).
If you are pissed that they made a new one, GO SCREW! Many people will never afford an OG Predator. So this was a great move by HT. For those that will bitch about it, and how it devalues what they have...f-you. Are you in this to cash in, or collecting purposes? Oh, and truth be told, HT has advanced dramatically from their earlier/past releases, so getting upgraded versions of obsolete figures is fine by me. I will get this...

I'm glad I sold my P1 a couple of weeks ago! Now the value of the P1 will fall down, you can be sure! Except for the Predator die hard fans who want to own every single predator, there's no reason to get the old one when you can get an improved version!
yea hot toys seems to do a lot of replacements. Robocop, Superman returns, The mark 2 Iron man, The battle damaged mark 3 iron man, the original suit Batman, the DX batman (but that one Kind of needed it), and now this. I even hear that they are going to make another Mark 1 Iron man.
This will be "the" predator to have, it's sculpt is way better and look's to be on par with the 1/4 neca ..all it need's is the bone trophies but it look's like Dean over at ssf will be taking care of that for us!:)
I don`t think its a replacement, i think it is a classic look Predator from the Predators movie and The Original is the Original : ) BUT i do want this figure as it looks bloody amazing and it does not piss me off that they made it so its all good in the hood.
alright the figure has a removable helmit! and face looks awsome. ill diffinitly get this predator. but i dont think its a replacement because it has detail differences in the armor and lacking articulation in the torso. but the figure looks better than the original, but im keeking my original.
@dinolast the plasma cannon is different design but very similar to the originals form of the cannon. and the shoulder piece has different detail but keeps the same general form. again very similar but the details are bit different in sculpting. the new classic is missing the mid arm armor section the original has too. the new classic also has in the lower legs, very long chin armor, and looks way better than the original predator chins armor actually it looks more accurate.
The difference in details on the armour are mostly minute... but sometimes the minute details all add up to make all the difference.
Personally, I think this figure does a better job of being the P1 than the actual P1 does...I can personaly look past the minute differences on this one as the overall look and proportions scream out "P1", whereas the actual P1 doesnt.
now i can get one w/o breaking the bank woo hoo looks great-im like you i like the other looks of the preds but to army build on a line that is so pricey forget it -i am content with original looking

I would love to get this figure but I probably wont because I just preordered the DX Jack and I also bought the Terminator from T1. I still have enough money for this figure but you can't have everything :( . So I'm going to wait for The Dark Knight Rises figures from the new movie...
HT P1 needed to be replaced. too small and bad helmet. Im glad HT made this. My P1 will now represent Classic from Predators and this will be the original, finally do him justice
Easy pick up for me since I don't have the original pred and was planning on getting it off of eBay which would of cost me like 500 so bonus for me crappy for those that just got one and spent that much.
Sometimes I think Hot Toys are just out to make money.

the head thats on the figure now dont look like the bio mask comes off but look what hot toys have added a extra headsculpt and a extra bio mask :)
