Ethnically, she is closer to Tom Brady than most Brazilians... her descendants are from Germany. She has even talked about how she grew up in a town that was mostly colonized by German immigrants, and she had to learn German in school.

She did say she's been out of touch with the German language for so long that she can't really speak it, but whatever. The more you know :)
