You shouldn't even be out there without a shovel, a 2 ton floor jack and lots of rope. I don't even know why you are out there without a good 4wd vehicle. Geeesh guys. Can't wait to see the second part. And now that you are home where it's safe, start looking for a GOOD 4wd vehicle. And buy a shovel. I have gotten myself out of way worse stucks than that with just s shovel and no help. The folding military ones are great for this. The small 2 ton floor jack helps a lot too.
When I hiked up to Beveridge the road to Snow Flake was blocked by a large boulder about a mile below the mine, thus adding a bit of distance and elevation. The hike to Beveridge was one of the steepest I've ever done. Borah Peak may have been steeper, but Beveridge is pretty steep! This last summer I saw the canyon from the top, but didn't hike down into it. Nice video!
