  • Trust me if you know how to drive a Prius economically and that doesnt necessarily mean very slow you can get amazing mpg out of it.

  • This video went viral on New Delhi

  • I ♥ VW I ♥ GERMN :)

  • My 2011 manual TDI, averages 43 MPG combined. My worst city chapter ran me at 37.1 MPG while my best Highway was 52.4 With a car that is so fun to drive. It's almost a game to keep track of the milage. It also has an incredible range, close to 700 miles, allowing me to drive from DC to Detroit on less than a tank.

  • 33.3 mpg for the base MINI HIGHWAY DRIVING??? Did you all go 120 the whole way? I very easily get 39-42 MPG in my 2010 Cooper S model. Very inaccurate results. I get around 30-33 in the city, and I am not in any way easy on the gas... I got around 550 miles out of the tank on a $50 on the highway, 13.2 gallon tank. Cruise control at 70.

  • mini prius = swagg

  • Can you guys try to answer, " best second hand Eco car?" What car would be the best raking gas friendly car to buy.

  • It was obvious from the start that the Prius would win, but a few other things surprised me.

For example, the Insight did worse than I thought it would. I had figured it would easily best the other competitors for #2. Also, I hadn't realize that the Mini Cooper is one of those 'fun to drive' cars. Looking at it, I thought it was a car similar to the Fortwo.

  • lame...

  • The Focus does not get 60mpg. In the rare case you could hypermile one to get that mpg, you could do much better in a Prius or Civic hybrid. The record is 115mpg in the Prius.

  • I'll use smaller words for you next time, perro.

  • v

    w

    power

  • now compare it to the VW polo which can get 80mpg

  • Some of you really need to really research before making inaccurate comments. Have you ever researched how much nickle goes into YOUR car's metal structure and electronics and how much of it is recoverable during salvage and compared it to the Prius? Have you ever read the GREET Model publications or would you rather get your information from a politically driven pundit?

  • @F8L wow you just wrote the most boring comment ever >_>

  • Oh, and for all those that think the prius is 'green'. The extraction, refinement+transportation of the nickel required for the batteries causes so much damage that the prius does more long term damage than a range rover.

  • @chrismarkbicknell U r obviously an idiot.

  • The prius averaged just 47.6 mpg. Thats quite poor tbh. My 04 ford focus tdci wik give 60mpg. Further proof that hybrids are a waste of time

  • My 2010 Prius gets 49.0 on the highway and a whopping 58.1 in the city.

  • I'm addicted to liking

  • Toyota's Landspeed Prius gas-electric hybrid vehicle debuted at Bonneville National Speed Week, Aug. 14, 2004-17, 2004, in Bonneville, Utah as the first production hybrid to race across the Bonneville Salt Flats

  • @zullyroman 1 million miles?? stop lying

  • vw are made in mexico by slave labor. look i the the door jamb and see hecho en d. f. mexico. my 93 Toyota truck has over 1 million miles and still on the road , 2007 tundra has over 300,000 miles and going strong and our 2007 corolla has 375,000 miles and still running. i would never buy anything but Toyota. the only vw i would have is a bug 1960's or before.

  • The consumption numbers must be wrong or you use different fuel have other engines in the US. Even old VW would do good compared to this. My old 94 Passat would use 7l/100km (ca 34 mpg). A typical smaller TDI would use 5l/100km (48mpg) without trying to be economical. My 96 Seat Toledo (Equal to Golf) could go as low as 4l/100km (59 mpg). Even my TDI van would compare to Prius in this test.

  • That's bs... the Jetta gets 45+ on the highway

  • bs, every vw golf/jetta tdi average over 40mpg highway..

  • I hate Prius...

  • I test drove a Golf TDI yesterday and got 42.2 mpg averaged over 18 miles of regular city driving... To get the number they listed that card would have had to be driven to extremes. I achieved my results through real world regular driving.

  • @00stangmang Yea but in my prius I get at least 56MPG anytime with my driving

  • @mlg779 I average almost 60 mpg on the highway. A 30 mile drive with a few stop lights and multiple speed zones averages between 52-58 mpg daily. Most importantly, my TDI is FUN to drive. Test drove a Prius.... It was slow boring and uncomfortable.

  • Comment removed

  • On what planets are the Prius and Insight desirable? Certainly not this one!

  • When they do these tests, to they use a car that's already got a good bit of miles on it, or do they use a brand new sub 1k mile car?

Break in really puts the non-hybrids at a disadvantage since they take a while to get to a proper compression state.

    Just curious.

  • @KahluaBomb The same for hybrids; At first I could not get more than 51MPG on the prius, Now after 5000 miles I got 62MPG.

  • Volkswagen's claim to fame used to be a simple car that would run forever. Them and most of the other Germans started putting all sorts of crazy gadgets in their cars, introducing all sorts of cool stuff but also many more potential things to go wrong. Their reliability dropped like a rock.

However, a TDI Golf with a manual transmission and as few bells and whistles as possible will run forever. IMHO this makes it better than something with an expensive component that will fail eventually.

  • My company car is a 6spd MT 2003 Touran 105hp TDI its getting 49mpg on backroads@80kmh and 41 on Highway@130km/h and that is with 300kg worth of tools and welding equipment. My friends Lupo 3L gets 3.3L/100km = 71.28mpg

  • @letmesnitch lupo your friend is the one that gets the middle finger on the road for driving so slow. how many horses do you use to pull your vehicle on the back roads with the 600 lbs of tools and welding equipment. oh the car runs on horse shit. that is why lupo gets the finger

  • Yeah the consumer reports are not really accurate on the fuel economy on the TDI and prius I saw a few reports in general that prius is better in the city for fuel economy then the TDI and the TDI is better fuel economy on the highway then the prius so I think the consumer reports should get there facts right instead of people just saying Toyota sucks and TDI sucks there

Both nice but argue on real facts not just some said

  • Every one is saying different miles per gallon on the prius and TDI there both nice cars but i think the TDI is more fun to drive and the automatic TDI gets better fuel then the manual TDI

  • Use a Jetta with a manual transmission and try again...

  • BULL SHIT!!!! I have the 2009 Vw Jetta TDI 6spd manual trans. and in the city makes 38 mpg. and on the high way with 75-80 mph driving makes 47 to 50 mpg! Mine already has 20K miles on it and the exhaust pipes in the back r like new...clean and good! Much better than Prius!

  • @scania1233

your jalapeño made car will never outlast a Toyota. great millage on your car maintenance will erase the great fuel millage.

  • @zullyroman I've had Toyotas an VWs. The VWs lasted longer and had less rust. The VWs and Toyotas you have in the US are not 100% equal to the cars sold in Europe. The TDI engines are great and in combination with manual transmision allmost unbeatable.

  • Sure me Truck gets 15 mpg city, but i don't need to hide my shame when i drive :)

  • @sandythebear

Agreed. I almost bought a Golf TDI. Then I found out Virginia has a personal property that is only subsidized for cars under $20,000 and would have cost me about 1,100 a year. Fuck that shit. I would have given the stupid state the money I would save in gas so I bought a 300ZX instead that gets like 20mpg. The Golf isn't gay but hybrids certainly are. Thank you Virginia for allowing me to run an irresponsible and fun car at no extra cost :)

  • @Yardjass I Wouldn't mind having a hybrid chevrolet silverado though, gets me 8 more mpg or so :)

  • @sandythebear

Oh yeah! Americans do hybrids right. I saw an ad for the Lincoln MKZ hybrid and it got better mileage than the Honda CR-Z. Pathetic. Look into the "EcoCAR Challenge" if you get a chance. I worked on one of the teams in college and we got 56mpg average out of a Saturn Vue. Being built by college students, it was full of bugs that were being constantly worked out and the components were hellishly expensive but GM has been testing much better ones for some time!

  • Jetta TDI or Fusion, thank you.

  • even the submarines and warship run on electric motors bullet train is just the future

  • No matter how you slice it, the Toyota prius is the gayest car here.

  • @Idkidkidk92 your're right man, a prius is still a prius and at the end of the day...nobody wants be seen in one.

  • @mitsu3kgto yup

  • Prius & Insight: If you absolutely hate or have no understanding of driving at all.

Fusion: You have a family and want to save on gas.

Jetta TDI: You like driving, want to drive more efficiently and have diesel available in your area.

Mini: You like driving, but you also want to save fuel.

  • What happens when you really thrash them? like you have to when driving in manhattan or when you have to manuever aggressively?

  • @SKsquashbass12 Top Gear drove a Prius around a race track as fast as they could and it got 17mpg, they drove a BMW M3 with a v8 right behind it on the track and it got 19mpg. It's all in how you drive, if you stomp on it in a Prius it's going to get bad gas mileage just like any other car. I'd vote the mini cooper coming in first if you stomp on it, and probably the jetta next.

  • in those highway runs, all the cars are in a straight line, doesn't that count as drafting? cause to what i've heard, drafting can improve fuel economy :D

  • VW TDI all the way ... fuck hybrids

  • If you drive a 1968 Charger with a 426 Hemi (expect roughly 5-7mpg) it is still possible to cleaner than any of these cars. Gasoline made from algae is now feasible, and they're just trying to find a way to make it cheap - once they do, gasoline made in this way will be a carbon-neutral fuel because the carbon in the fuel had first to be removed from the atmosphere by the algae. Running 5mpg will still be exorbitantly expensive, but it won't contribute to global climate change in the future.

  • The prius is not the greener. To produce one you need much more energy than in other, and it is very difficult to recycle. Simply rubbish.

As you can see en Top Gear, the prius comsume more than an BMW M5 if you drive care less.

I will chose the Jetta or the mini, never the prius. It is only a marketing object. Use more public transpor and buy a good car.

  • @madjh8 Not to mention the nickel mining for the batteries that power the prius causes more emissions just to BUILD a prius than a Range Rover would produce in its entire lifetime.

  • Each prius consumes the equivalent of 1,000 gallons of fuel before its odometer clicks to 1. As we saw above, this is due to the manufacturing and shipping costs associated with the Prius. So while the Prius may not be worse for the environment than a Hummer is, it certainly would be given a run for its money when put head-to-head with a used car with reasonable fuel economy.

  • @89LT250R

There actually was an article claiming that it is worse for the environment than a Hummer. This was because of a combination of the 1000 gallon thing you listed above and the strip mining required for the metals for the batteries.

  • @89LT250R Who says that people that buy priuses are buying them to save the enviroment. I bought the prius to save my wallet.

  • @mlg779 If that's the case you should have opted out for a TDI

  • The Prius doesn't use fuel, It wastes it

  • @Mik5OO How does it waste petrol

  • @Mik5OO How does it waste petrol bud.

  • @Mik5OO What do you mean it wastes it? It got the best mpg out of all of them?

  • @alexancia5279 He means it doesn't worth to put gas in Prius because it is not a fun car to drive. Apperantly he does not get the idea that hybrid cars are for economy and very purpose oriented cars. He wants to buy it and drive like a ferrari and still have a 50 mpg. So, go figure why there are such comments.

  • @Fussinated Lol! What a retard! He really thinks that? Anybody with a brain stem can figure out that people buy Prius's for their fuel economy! It wastes it...... psshhh

  • @alexancia5279 LOL! I agree but that is the truth. look a that corvetteRacingFan guy, He like the Prius to be a car like a Ferrari i.e. carve croners like a champ, and get a better mpg than a TDI (since only than he will consider it a better car than a TDI ie 50 mpg). I already said this yet he is not even aware of what he talking about and he tries to defend that it is not the case.

Go figure what kind of people trying to decide about this very functional, prupose built car.

  • @Fussinated

tell corvetteRacingFan that the Prius that drives like a Ferrari is being made. Toyota, Telsa and Panasonic are doing just that as we speak.

  • @Fussinated

No, he means the Golf and Jetta TDI's, while certainly not Ferraris, are fun to drive and the Prius is well, not. Who in their right mind would buy a car that has the handling dynamics of a brick and expensive batteries that will need replaced in 10 or so years when they could get a Golf that takes corners like a champ, has a diesel engine good for a solid 300,000 miles and stills gets a real world mpg average in the mid 40's. Oh and the interior is better and price is lower.

  • @CorvetteRacingFan "No, he means ..."

I already said what he means.

"Golf that takes corners like a champ ..."

Do you consider Ferrari a champ? So, you like to drive a hybrid car like a Ferrari.

"stills gets a real world mpg average in the mid 40's"

Prius achieve 50 mpg + so you want to achieve that while driving like a Ferrari.

As I said, and you failed to falsify Prius is an economy car a reliable trasportation and with 0.78 lateral g capability far from handling like a brick

  • @Fussinated

    1. A TDI isn't a hybrid, retard. I never said anything about fast. A real manual transmission and the ability to toss it around in the corners is better than the zero-fun prius. It has the GTI suspension.

    2. Top Gear did a handling test of economy cars. The Prius handles terribly with those tiny wheels and cheap suspension.

    3. The 50 mpg CRX got .89g and the Golf TDI got .87 on a skidpad. Congrats. Your prius handles on par with a Chevy Malibu. I'm sooo impressed.

  • Fussinated, why must people defend this car? If a series hybrid prius comes out I will be saying something different but the fact is Honda got 40/50 mpg with the CRX HF 20 years ago with a petrol engine and there are smart, polo, fiesta, mini and many other diesels in Europe getting into the 70's and 80's for mpg without a hybrid powertrain. How is this hard to understand? Plug in a Volt every night and rarely use the engine and you can get up into the 100's of MPG. Not until then is it worth it

  • @CorvetteRacingFan "Fussinated, why must people defend this car?"

No, why must people attack this car? is more like the right question. You don't make a fuss this much about smartfortwo for example, which is truly a crap car, good for nothing but drive on sidewalks in the city streets. Yet, you have to focus your hatred on the Prius. why?

"Not until then is it worth it"

Then, what makes a 40 mpg, diesel car worth to be driven over a 50 mpg Prius until hybrids reach 100 mpg?

  • @Fussinated

Hey, I'm gonna chime in on this if its okay. The thing that makes it better is simplicity. I worked on a hybrid project and it had problems all the time. Yes, we were a bunch of college kids and any major car company is going to have run it through much more rigorous tests than a one-off concept but the other guy is right that the batteries will go sooner or later and that isn't cheap. Just more components in general is undesirable because it means there is more that could go wrong.

  • @Fussinated

Also, here is my opinion on the cars. The smart car is an unreliable piece of crap and gets terrible mileage for what it is. Did you know it takes premium fuel? WTF? This alleged 80 mpg European one might be worth looking at though.

You won't like this but I hate the Prius. Having said that, it is an efficient and dependable car. I can understand liking it but I wouldn't be caught dead driving one.

I really like the Golf. In fact, I almost bought one but it WAY too expensive.

  • @Yardjass Please Check your PM box.

  • @Fussinated

    Gotcha :)

  • If we had european diesels like the Polo TDI bluemotion, it would make the prius look like an escalade. 3 Cylinder TDI that gets 83 mpg.

for performance and economy, i think il import a golf GTD which has a 170 hp 2.0 TDI but gets 57 mpg.

  • The diesel getting worse fuel economy because it's in the front of the pack braking all the wind for the other cars so there results are inaccurate.

  • im goin for the jetta tdi

  • Anyone notice a difference in philosophy here?

Japan: Economy at the expense of fun.

USA: Keep your family car without making any sacrifice and get some added economy too.

Europe: Combination of fun, good looks, and economy at a very reasonable price.

Two of these seem much more appealing than the other but that is just my opinion...

  • @CorvetteRacingFan

Japanese cars used to be fun though. Cars like the CRX and Del Sol were pretty fun and very economical. It is just this gay shit they are making now like the prius and insight. Oh, and the fail CR-Z. I love how a CRX HF has a higher EPA rating than the new CR-Z. What have they been doing for the last 20 years?

  • @CorvetteRacingFan lol is more like japan whats good for the people... usa dont give a fuck about the people and contaminating theyr air and europe in between .. usa is the dumbest manufacturer of cars in other words exepc from tesla

  • @bonds911

A comment that idiotic doesn't deserve a response but let's think about this. Would I rather have a diesel Fiesta or Polo that gets 70 mpg or a gay Prius that gets much lower and has more complex parts?

It sucks but Japanase economy cars are boring and it wasn't always this way. Remember the CRX and Del Sol? Great, fun little cars. I don't know what they're thinking with this new crap but lot of people, myself included, would buy new CRX's right now if they fired the plants back up.

  • @CorvetteRacingFan lol your comment to idiotic no response...

  • @bonds911 telsa panasonic and Toyota.

  • @CorvetteRacingFan I agree. I think it reflects the country it comes from best. Japan is all about getting things "perfect" and an economy car getting the best MPG fits that while the US is all about compromises to best fit as many people as possible. And EU cars have always been about road feel first. My only gripe is that they tested the Fusion and not something smaller. It's a much larger car compared to the other 4 and, I think, unfair when it came to "more comfortable."

  • @CorvetteRacingFan I like the Japanese model...

  • The Jetta should have been a Bluemotion. Idiots!

  • @GarrettKeetley none of them use gas, they use petrol and the Jetta uses diesel, gas or LPG (CNG less common) powered cars are common in Australia and New Zealand not sure about the US, they get great mileage and the ozy are even getting great power too out of the Ford Falcon and the Holdens. The ford Falcon won an economy Race in New Zealand in its size class. They don't factor in the battery replacement cost so its a bit unfair on the standard cars and CO2 emissions don't matter.

  • @glennimmortal

They do sell a CNG civic here and the busses use it but that is about it as far as I know.

  • one test would be nice to see, what about: 4 passengers and a full trunk - mpg?

  • hydribs are pussy shit the Jetta and the the min are the best

  • if you think of the whole life of a priuses battery life from life to doeath the battery ruines the inviorment after they dispose of it

  • @fosnaugh123 wrong, do you some research, they dont just toss them into the landfill

  • I don't know why the mini gets so bad gas mileage. I have an 07 Cooper S. I average 38 mpg and have gotten up to 45 on the highway goin close to 70mph.

  • How about testing some that can _reasonably_ seat more than four people?

  • "Next, there is the Honda Insight, which has been recently reintroduced. Now it's a 4-door sedan..." It is not a 4-door sedan, it is a 4-door banana.

  • Haha Silver one lol

  • Comment removed

  • the new prius looks chic. the jetta looks plain... a bit boring.

  • How Does The Jetta Do So Bad On The Motorway/ "Highway". Here in Northern Ireland the VW Jetta TDi gets well over 60 MPG

  • @S1And3r0n I think European mpg is more lenient than US mpg calculations. That's what I get from comparing the same german cars marketed to different places.

  • @S1And3r0n Its cuz here in california we have to have all the eco friendly crap in the cars and it sucks up more gas. But my dad has a 2009 Jetta TDI and he gets 38 city and 55 highway. So idk where these people are getting their results. Volkswagens are way more fun to drive and last longer to.

  • @skullcandy071: Thank You, Someone else that partically agrees with me. These results are completely wrong. A 2010 VW Golf Bluemotion does BETTER MPG than most Hybrids

  • @S1And3r0n Haha I have heard about the BlueMotion and that car gets great gas mileage. To bad its not here in california. If it was, hybrids would not even have a chance against it.

  • @skullcandy071 Great MPG. Great doesnt describe it. It gets unbelievable MPG because its a Turbo Diesel, I had one last week because my 2008 GTTDI Golf was being Serviced & i didnt have to refill the Golf Bluemotion the entire weekend lol

  • @S1And3r0n Exactly. lol So i have no idea where they are getting these results from cuz I have 3 friends that have the TDI Jetta and they all get over 50mpg highway.

The bluemotions are nice tho. I want one but they dont sell them in the US which sux

  • in Russia prius costs 40.000$ .... fuck it, i'd rather spend it on fuel+better car

  • @umk3mafioso

If you're looking for a better car

    You better bring your lunch

    It'll take a while

  • i guess so dude they are suppose to , if you like the sticky pedal and all the other shit plus the price.

  • If someone is 6,5 could they fit in the insight prius or jetta tdi

  • Prius would probably be best of those three - Jetta would be very tight and Insight.... maybe. Prius has great head room

  • @TCB1468 I say the Jetta. Cuz the seat can be lowered and the Prius has a weird shape to it that makes it feel small. And well the inisight idk cuz I hate Hondas

  • If someone is 6,5 could they fit in the insight prius or jetta tdi

  • good review minus the part about the Insight getting bad gas mileage on the hwy... every other real world test i've seen has the Insight around 48mpg/hwy...

how, in this test did it only come out to 38mpg/hwy??

  • @bizzybearfigiblue Well the test will vary greatly because of altitude, temperature and road. So if the cars get tested let say at winter they would get better mpg because the cold air has more oxygen making it more "efficient". And I'm talking a small change maybe 1mpg more maybe more in the "long" run. Anyway The temps, tire, road even wind they are all factor when testing so It would be hard to get an exact mpg and EPA estimates are on a control enviroment so that's why they sound good.

  • @bizzybearfigiblue I'm really tired but I hope that you understood what I meant

  • i understand exactly what you meant... it's just every other real world testing/comparison between the Prius and Insight have them very close to the same numbers... Prius edges the Insight by a very slight margin...

  • I think the Ford Fusion would be best for the average family, Looks good, 41mpg, Has the most head and leg room, 197hp, most overall room, Safety rated 5 stars, the only car out of the group that looks normal, A Hybrid doesn't have to look like a Hybrid, and doesn't have to feel like one, BTW the Fusion is the only midsized car in this comparision so mpg won't be the best but it's good for it's class(midsize). I'd drive the Fusion anyday. It looks good for anyone.

  • @88soulsurvivor i agree :D

  • ? Jetta looks pretty normal too. Not a very compromising car either. The next one has a much better looking front imo (though all VWs are beginning to look the same).

But yeah the Fusion looks like a great car.

  • Go Toyota goooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fast Facts

In the month of Oct. 2009, the VW Jetta TDI sold 1,839 units. In that same period of time, the Toyota Prius sold 14,569 units.

  • @ripper3200

VW sold 500,000 VW Golfs in Europe in 2009. Europe's best selling car. At least half were diesels.

The Jetta is a Golf with a trunk.

  • That's nice...

  • Oct. 2009

    Prius - 15,000 sold

    Jetta - 1,800 sold

  • Whats the point in posting how many cars are sold? Are you going to post Toyota's vs Vw sales for january 2010?

Oh wait let me do it for you.

    Toyota -19%

    Volkswagen +40%

I don't get the point your trying to make in posting this over and over again.

Vw sells 10x as many TDI's world wide as toyota sells hybrids. It's really a silly comparison.

  • i didnt understand why mini was here... but i was really suprised by the MPG it got.. a lot higher then i thought. over 30 MPG in city is amazing

  • ya know I'd buy all that pollution crap about the toyota being sooo clean if it wern't for all the extra pollutants created making them. Check your facts a toyota prius cames from the factory with a larger carbon footprint than most economy cars will have at 63,000 miles. The only place they can get the batteries manufactured is in China lotsa eco work going on there!!

  • So basically the Prius only has one pitfall now, in my mind... that funky styling. I like the Fusion because it looks like a normal car; not everybody wants to shout their eco-awareness or hybrid possession. If Toyota offered a more... subtle and classic design, it would be better in my mind. It doesn't have to be a fashion accessory.

  • Well I do think the new Prius is a lot less ugly. It's not 'normal' but it doesn't have to be.

  • Yes its not AS ugly but its still ugle I'd much rather have a Jetta tdi and to be honest even the insight looks better

  • The U.S. gallon has 128 ounces in it, while Imperial gallon contains 160 ounces. That means that the miles per gallons will be rated higher in Europe, simply because there is way more fuel per gallon. Thats why cars in Europe (Polo) seem to get a higher gas mileage. If they were sold in the US, they would get a much lower rating. The Bluemotion Polo is rated to get 71mpg, is a very small car that has 75hp and does 0-60 in just under 14 seconds. BTW you can't buy it, because it's not for sale.

  • 71mpg in Europe, not the USA

  • This is not entirely correct, the main reason for differences in Fuel economy isn't the Imperial vs US gallon, but the way in which they're tested to get to thier MPG figure. I think most people understand that there are more liters in an Imperial gallon verses a US gallon.

    Example?

prius combined rating in europe is

    70.62 imperial mpg

    OR

    58.8 US MPG

So you can't just do a direct conversion of Imperial to US mpg to get an acurate test. EPA tests are different than the Europeans.

  • EPA 2010 fuel ratings

    Prius - 50 mpg

    Jetta TDI - 34 mpg

  • Toyota alomost sold more Priuses in the month of Oct. then all the VWs combined.

    Prius - 14,569

    All VWs - 21,037

  • Sales numbers from the month of Oct. 2009

    Toyota Prius - 14,569

    Jetta TDI - 1,839

  • Queensland fleet of Black and White Taxis, owner Graham Boundy knows the truth about high-mileage Hybrids. His oldest Prius has managed a lifespan of 361,000 before needing replacement of their nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. The only problem even at the end of their battery pack service life was a low voltage reading. So which means the battery started to wear out around 361,000 miles. At 15,000 miles a year, it would take you 23 years to wear the battery out.

  • If you want to see how "clean" it's is... start the TDI in your garage with the doors shut. You will see just how "clean" it's not! Sorry, but you would be dead! If you are going to call something "clean", it should actually be CLEAN!

Definition; clean >adjective - free from dirt, pollutants, or harmful substances.

You realize that the same thing that you are saying is polluting the environment, you use yourself... Right? Cell Phones use more batt then the Prius ever will
