yeah.. it's cool.. but if you really want to play blues.. buy Stevie Ray Vaughan's Texas flood and learn it all!!.. Scott henderson-tore down howse and robben ford's mystic mile.. learn them all..
Yeah.. forgot that.. but I'm kind of young.. don't really know who are the real originators of blues.. I think Srv and scott were influencied by albert king.. but.. beside him.. and BB. King.. I really don't know anybody else.. any recomendations?
ah klkl mate soz i didnt know. i mean yea like all the great masters that influenced people like - buddy guy, freddie king, chuck berry early stuff, guitar slim, magic sam all different artists like that then u got ur real early stuff like - elmore james robert johnson son house blind willie mctell leadbelly and look out for the newish players like joe bonammssa etc.
Haha yeah good luck giving a Rookie Rj to learn or grab influence from...
Lightening Hopkins is a good one to listen to, just make sure you hear it though :P
Ive played blues for 4-5yrs now and im not attempting to learn Rj yet, it would be insulting to mess up that early plus im haven't got the mature voice that i would want to accompany it.
I always picture myself at like 40yrs plus focusing my attention on trying to master the real delta shit in my rocking chair and bottle of Daniels haha.

Im sorry but this ain't no blues.......
Blues doesen't make use of "blues Scales"
That's why it's so unique ....
It's ok if you wanna give lessons and all but how to learn blues.... you ever seen eric clapton use scales?
sorry but just ain't blues

Yes he does, every type of music uses scales.
scottb1966 3 years ago 10
What are you talking about? All music uses scales. Most music (including blues) mixes different scales together to make interesting combinations.
