There was a music halls comedian who was an expert at this (pismonounciations) before the great Mr Barker but I can't remember his name (I'm sure he was English)... any idea? Of course he probably repeated the same script over and over whereas Ronnie Barker could write the hind legs off an aardvark. I think Benny Hill's songs were funnier than Ronnies - but it might be a matter of taste. Nice tribute still :D (so doff your hat)

My script is original in the sense that this is the first time it's ever been performed; in the sense you mean it, i.e. the opposite of "derivative", it is not original. However, by the same token, Barker's script could be argued to be unoriginal, as works such as Sheridan's "The Rivals" use similar gags; Barker merely takes Mme Malaprop's speech habits to ludicrous extremes.
