When I got my top braces they did'nt hurt me, Just bothered me when I first got them. But my bottom braces which i got today hurt really bad! Uhhh i really dont like my braces right now, but hey beauty hurts i guess:/

@Osheaismusic94 Putting on the rubber bands is what hurts a little bit. Only pressure though, so there is nothing to worry about. But after an hour of having them on, they hurt

This is soooo helpful thx sooo much!!! It doesn't look like it hurts the patient at all! I'm just worried about that thing that stretches your lips open! My mouth can't open up that big!!!

and then u go for check up every 8 weeks and they just change the wire , but there's no pain and u can still eat solids

oh and when u put the bands on they don't hurt

when you have the bands if you only have 4 don't worry about wearing then in the day i don't just at night

then after the first 8 weeks or 6 depends u go back again and they give you hooks it's where you attach bands on then it's the same again and hakes for like a week so it hurts when you eat , but then it's better

they do hake the first week or two , but then u can't feel it after . It does not hurt when they do it u just feel pressure on your teeth while the stick them on.

I've got mine all ready trust me don't smile when u hv them and yea you can't eat for like a week cos it hurts to much so just blend your food or have soap , jelly or ice cream , yogurt anything gloopy.

People, getting braces do not hurt all that bad. You will have a sore feeling which means your teeth are starting to adjust, but thats good because you'll know the treatment is already working.

As you have them on longer and longer, the sore feeling is something that you wont think is a big deal anymore, it'll feel like a normal routine. I had to wear an expander for 2 years, then i had to get braces for 2 years. So its really not a problem. If i could do it, anyone can. :)

At the start is that all that happens or do orthodontics clean yr teeth with not only water and a swob but a electric toothbrush, it's just I hate electric toothbrushes

"takes 30 minutes" YEAH RIGHT! It takes mine 2 1/2- 3 hours! maybe becuase i get top and bottom but it shouldnt be that big of a differennce!

@emilyclaire15 The time depends on the patient and the case. For this patient it took 30 minutes for each row of teeth. Hope that clarifies for you.
