  • Wow! Now this is preaching. You don't hear this kind of scriptural teaching on salvation in the black church today. Now this is unto salvation. Amen!

  • boy its some dumbass people with stupid questions pick up the bible and read and find it....

  • @MrCastino1 Why is is necessary to respond in such an ignorant matter? His teachings have caused many people in your church to disrepect the memories of Bishop Johnson and Bishop Shelton. If I am a "asshole" what does that make you? It is obvious with your response you are not learning anything to help you grow spiritually. Also, it would help if you could learn to articulate better. Am I your enemy because I tell you my truth?

  • Love this message,

  • JamisonDavid1 - I have nothing againist Bishop Omega. I am just tired of him degrading Bishop Johnson and Bishop Shelton in his sermons and making mockery of their traditions. His tapes are edited for radio so you may not hear what I hear when I attend the service. Am I hearing correcting? What do you hear?

  • @Tranquil606 you a asshole

  • @Tranquil606 you a asshole any one that dosnt listen to the Word yous an ass and stuck on stupid and men you judge by what you hear not past bullshit

  • @dking2ushawty21 also impress means to affect deeply or strongly in mind or feelings or to influence feelins and I think that is what the pastor meant.

  • But the word also says that they marvelled (ie: were impressed) that these men who were not "educated" or from their native lands were able to speak their tongues. Enough to feel like God WAS indeed working in them.

  • Powerful!

  • this is my church holy jesus

    xD

    xD

    jpjppjpjpj<3

    LOVE♥♥♥♥

    <3

  • Where in the bible did it quote God or any of the apostles or anyone who wrote a book in the bible as saying tongues are just to impress non-believers?

  • @dking2ushawty21 Here is the scripture 1 Corinthians 14:22; "Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. "

    I believe Paul stated this

  • @LylaRenee Which means to the many non-believers in God, those who say this God isnt real, this is a sign...not to impress but so that you know. The bible speaks about the signs of the endtime, as well so we will know the time is near. Signs are not to impress. But prophesying is for the believer who knows and understands what is going on, therefore the word is profitable to him.

  • this is my chruch i have been in it all my life, i was going because my family was going . i didnt uunderstand untill i got older,.what the older saints was was talking about . that GOD IS GOOD, AND MERCYFUL, BISHOP OMEGA can break it down, now iam not just going i truly belive

  • I love Bishop Omega. Hearing him speak is inspiring and God sent.

  • this is what's up

  • where is his church

  • It's located at 22nd and Bainbridge Street, Philadelphia, PA. Nothing much happening at this church to change lives. He is on his personal soap box to destroy the images of the previous bishops of this church, Bishop S.C. Johnson and Bishop S. McDowell Shelton.

  • U know I agree with you. It really seems as though he is trying to take the church in a direction that isn't mainstream

  • @Tranquil606 This is a serious charge. Can you prove this?

  • @Tranquil606 I sure hope that God is more merciful to you than you are to others. He's not out to destroy anybody's image he's only trying to get people to understand scripture and realize that they are not saved by tradition. You seem pretty bitter but just know that Jesus still loves you.

  • @JamisonDavid1 For the past 15 years he has slandered Bishop S. C. Johnson and Bishop S. McDowell Shelton. Most of his sermons are not spiritually uplifting. He rambles on and on about nothing. He can never preach a sermon without saying something negative about the previous leaders. How has your spiritual live changed with him on board? Do you pray, fast or read your Bible more? Or are you doing whatever you want, but just don't sin?

  • @Tranquil606 Personally, I have both read my bible more and prayed more, and I am also doing whatever I want as long as I don't sin. What exactly your problem with not sinning? If it were a sin, God would have said not to do it, but if HE said nothing about what I'm doing, then what do you have to say about it?

  • @Veracidad1990 You are so young you would not understand how much the traditions of the church have been destroyed under Kenneth Shelton. Keeping reading your Bible and if you have the Holy Ghost, then you will be directed to separate yourself from the world. Peace and blessings.

  • @Tranquil606 I never said how old I was, so what basis do you have to make that judgement? And following traditions of men rather than the Word of God has been the downfall of many men. What does any of that have to do with being a part of the world? You are making judgement about my entire existence based on my asking why is wrong with doing something that isn't a sin. Have you answered that yet?

  • @Veracidad1990 Some things people do like smoking, drinking, gambling, etc. may not be a sin, but do those activities bring one closer to the Lord. See 2 Corinthians 5:17; I Corin 6:9-10; II Cor 6:14-18; I Cor 6:12 and 1 Cor 10:23. Check out Creflo Dollar sermons on living a holy lifestyle and you will be blessed. May the peace and blessings of God be with you.

  • @Tranquil606 Once again, you didn't answer why doing things that weren't sins wrong. The scriptures that you gave me were about being part of the world, but if you tell someone to give up EVERYTHING that doesn't bring them closer to God, then why should I continue to go to school or look for a job? I would have to encounter ppl of the world. If I am saved, and become a new creature, that would mean that I gave up my old ways of SINNING!!!! Not every single thing I do in my day....

  • @Tranquil606 And why would you direct me toward Creflo Dollar, a person that is using the money from his ministry to buy things of the world: a private jet, a Rolls-Royce, million-dollar homes? Are those things bringing him closer to God? Or making his pockets fatter while telling other ppl how to live a holy lifestyle? Since we're swapping scriptures, visit Luke 18:25, 1 Tim 6:9-10. Clearly we will never see eye to eye, so let's just mutually shake the dust off our feet and part ways. Peace....

  • @Veracidad1990 Thanks for your reply.

  • @JamisonDavid1 If you expect me to believe that this leader, who cussed in a courtroom, fought maliciously for leadership of the church, played dirty, literally kicked people out of the church with physical violence, is a man of God standing for truth and bringing spiritual enlightenment to the saints..... then you must be crazy. the events at 22nd & bainbridge starting after Bishop SM Shelton died have been nothing but carnality.

  • @Apostolic4lyfee "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?" Matthew 7:1-4 The Lord then continues in the 5th verse by calling you a hypocrite.

  • @JamisonDavid1 In fact I wouldn't trust anyone who came out of 22nd and Bainbridge.... Shelton Rappha Luke, Patterson, Fincourt Shelton, Omega Shelton.... they all are messed up. The truth left this sad body after Bishop Johnson died. Those that had a spiritual backbone left and started/went with other churches.

  • @Apostolic4lyfee Were you even born to see the events that you feel so "strongly" about?

  • @Veracidad1990 Actually I was :]

  • @JamisonDavid1 God bless you. For someone whoe doesn't like Bishop Omega is truely listening to him. I'm a follower of the word of God and not a follower of men and I have learned much from Bishop Omega. I'm sure you can too. I would like to know in who and what do you believe.

  • @Treeze120 I don't know exactly what you mean. You must have been meaning to write to someone else because I'm not the one who doesn't like Bishop Omega. In fact, I grew up in the church and I believe just like you do or should if you've been following the word of God. Please be assured that I've said nothing against Bishop. I've actually been defending him against some of other people on here but I've stopped addressing them.

  • @JamisonDavid1 Oh sorry it was someone else I was at the wrong one. Sorry about that. Peace Bro. Jamison

  • @Treeze120 I'm just going to assume that you meant that for Apostolic4lyfee or Tranquil606 because they are the ones who don't like bishop. They've been hounding me because I love him and the church.

  • I am truly inspired by the word preached by his eminence Bishop Omega Shelton and taught by the spirit! As a young man and also a hearer of the gospel, I seek to edify myself in every which way! Praise God for the WHOLE TRUTH and our Bishop! Brother NC!

  • Truly the words that come from Bishop Omega are inspired by the Lord. He is a Lamb among wolves that truly desires to do nothing more than to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. May God bless him to continue to inspire us all to read the word for ourselves and to remember to not be taken by the charisma of men.

  • Bishop Omegas messages are powerful and easily understood; he truly is a man of God.
