I had never heard of Nick Cave in 2001 or so when a friend of mine brought me a cd of Murder Ballads. I thought it was great so I looked at a music store and found No More Shall We Part. That one was even better, so I looked on Amazon.com and bought all Bad Seeds cd's and 2 from The Birthday Party in a single purchase. I've been getting the new stuff on itunes. One of my favorite bands now.

I was a great fan untill Nocturama came out, and I don't want to hear about him no more since he outgrew the Prince of Darkness role he's had. He said himself once that his songs were too sombre, and he outgrew himself afterwards by releasing Abattoir B & The Lyre of O, albums in which half of the songs is bullshit without any care for the content of the lyrics or the music. Having said that, it's the first time I heard this song, and it rocks like Nick's Rock 'N' Roll always should have rocked
@isolationblues: the name of the band is Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, they're australian and have gone through many reincarnations to become what they are today. Look up some of their other stuff on youtube, it's awesome
@ppjj8 what year was that dude? that would've been awesome. i saw Grinderman at Latitude , it was just unreal , we didn't know what hit us.... still don't.
He is playing this since the world is inverted. He is a protector and was born in Victorie in Australia where they have black swans on their shield. (inverted)
I love NC's new vintage look, even though all the other looks were pretty kickass too. Then again, those eyes and that voice could make an Edsel run like a Thunderbird. BD
Is it weird that Nick Cave reminds me of Kevin Bacon?

I appreciate this song as a true classic rock tour-de-force, but it is not my personal cup of tea...
