@G0DatC0D, he pressures the sides of the neck, so it is NOT an airway choke, but rather it restricts the arteries in the neck.

I was about to bash the voice over guy thinking I was the only one who felt he was annoying, then I saw the comments and thought I'd shut up. Seems all the comments are about how bad the voice over is.  An awesome move and all we can seem to focus on is this guy's horrible voice.

@1lostinspace. I use this on a regular basis in training (Team Nogueira) !!! If the guy manages to get to his knees , I usually slide my bottom leg underneath him( knee first) and the top leg goes over his back all while still keeping pressure on his neck .

@1lostinspace I've used it several times in sparring and it's definitively a blood choke. I've even asked and none of them said it was a crank.

@adidasteve Yes he did. Although they weren't the side control finish, but I know what you meant. he Guillotined 3 guys back to back to back, including Kron Gracie. Still, his Guillotine and ability to finish it from anywhere is insane.

in competition- marcelo has often mounted his opponents to finish the guillotine from side control/ halfguard. on here he shows it to switch your base(not mount) and then finish. i wonder why he mounts in competition?

That way if he loses the Guillotine he still gained points from the mount? Just an idea.

@valetudokid It is a more secure position to finish and in the rare case the opponent does get his head out, you have the mount, points, and the dominant position.
