my mother scoffs at screaming pregnancy scenes in movies, saying that if they get the painkiller dosage right it's pretty much painless, and worst case scenario it's pretty bad but far from the worst thing in the world.

nut kick pain is also sort of overratted. It creates all sorts of nausia that is very unpleasant, but the pain itself is surpassed by burns and I had a stomach virus as a child that left me crying and begging god for it to stop which makes the nausia look like nothing
