I just love that Jafar turned into a huge giant cobra in the end XD. I love snakes and reptiles :D. I was so scared of Jafar in Cobra-form when I was a little kid X). His huge, razorsharp, yellow fangs and his red evil eyes with the long thin pupils and his black with red stripes scale coloring, resembling that of his clothing in human form, which as you know, was also red and black. ^^ Good move Disney, very fitting, very goodlooking ;).

Jafar is not very calculating nor is he very quick to react when his lamp was making it's way down to the lava, even when he was witnessing it ><. His reflexes sucks, but otherwise, he's very powerful... or was when he was alive/existant ^^.

My favorite villain bc he is the most powerful bc his powers came from a genie. He wished to become a sultan as his 1st wish, the most powerful sorcerer in the world as his 2nd wish, then as his 3d wish, he wished to become an allpowerful genie himself, leaving him the most powerful of all disney villains, although his powers were restrained by his own residence(his lamp) X). Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, he was obliterated and is no more :P.
I think Jafar owns the second place in best disney villains, just after Scar (killing your own brother will take the cake no matter what). I mean, he's so committed to becoming powerful and he probably has the best final battle of all the movies. His transformations are the best.
I've always loved how Jafar's suave, sophisticated speech carries his (usually) calculating, calm character. BTW, Thanks for that, Jonathan Freeman!
And of course, what better friend-and-foil for a cunning, collected, resourceful Mastermind than a hot-headed, sarcastic, rambunctious Sadist? Jafar and Iago as individual characters are all sorts of awesome; together, they're the perfect tag-team.
Of all Disney villains, Jafar has the coolest plan and mission :) Think about it.. second it is not killing only that makes a villain. Jafar has an awesome way of doing things. An example is the scene before he sends aladdin away he uses his own song against him, then sends him to the worlds end in a tower and turns against the sultan and jasmine with the most awesome laugh ever.
It is not only frollo and scar who want to kill. If any of you remember jafar almost killed aladdin at the cave of wonders. But abu saved his life by biting jafars arm, causing aladdin to fall down the cave of wonders. Jafar then throws abu down there believing they both will die but the carpet save them as they fall.
He is not so evil...he could have kill Aladdin at 5:58. he just sent him away. Jafar is bad but he is not a murderer (unlike Frollo or Scar). That is probably why he doesn't die at the end.

Also, from the magical Disney characters, like Maleficent, Jafar id the only Disney Villain to possess three forms: normal Jafar. Snake Jafar, and Genie Jafar.

Scar from The Lion King was pretty smart, his plan to be king was a plan to get Simba in the gorge, start a stampede, tell Mufasa about it and cause them both to be killed by said stampede :) then when Simba survived he convinced him to run away forever, Nala had the hardest time convincing him to go back! Jafar is definitely one if my favorites, if not my favorite villain! :)

I had the luck of playing Jafar in a school musical. Of course, I was prepubescent then, 3 feet tall, and the musical was a Junior version so I never actually got to take over the world or turn into a snake. But it's so much fun playing a psychopath. There are no limits to how big you can be.

I disagree. The best villains are those who trick themselves into believing their actions are justified. By the way, she had a purpose. She was insulted and wanted revenge. That was her reason.

@ukhistorian I don't know... Scar from The Lion King was pretty smart, his plan to be king was a plan to get Simba in the gorge, start a stampede, tell Mufasa about it and cause them both to be killed by said stampede :) then when Simba survived he convinced him to run away forever, Nala had the hardest time convincing him to go back! Jafar is definitely one if my favorites, if not my favorite villain! :)

I love Aladdin! It truly is a super awesome and epic movie! I like Jafar too he is a really good and cool evil villain. It gets pretty epic when he steals the lamp and wishes to become the most powerful sorcerer in the world!!!! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! And then a Genie! "Yes, the universe is mine to command!" Lol but when you're a Genie that means you get trapped inside a magic lamp.

I had the luck of playing Jafar in a school musical. Of course, I was prepubescent then, 3 feet tall, and the musical was a Junior version so I never actually got to take over the world or turn into a snake. But it's so much fun playing a psychopath. There are no limits to how big you can be.

@vtwetz if they believe their actions are justified in my opinion their just horribly misguided people or really good at self delusions and i dont see that as evil, its cruel yes, but not as evil as a person who does it just because. And maleficint was going to do something to her anyway wasn't she? THEN the parents "insulted her" and she cursed the baby :P or i'm remembering wrong.
BUT it isn't up to what i think. Sorry if i made it seem like i thought it was.
