(And for the record, RPM is pretty awesome, and a lot of you guys seem to be just ripping on Power Rangers just because it's in english, and there's no way an adaptation can be good, which is entirely wrong.)

No, its the other way around. Saban took the Japanese Super Senta Show Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger and made it Power Rangers. And it went on from there. Super Sentai has been going on since the 1970s.

@EinPieceOtaku Power Rangers is based loosely on Super Sentai. Super Sentai was created in 1975 and Power Rangers didn't start adapting them until 1993 with the 16th Sentai season. Power Rangers just takes certain scenes from Sentai episodes (mostly the Ranger and Zord fight scenes, and sometimes the villain scenes) and dubs them in English. They pretty much skipped the 17th and 18th seasons however. Also, VR Troopers and Beetleborgs/Metallix are ripoffs of Japanese shows as well.

The only Rangers that where American made was Titanium Ranger and the Jungle fury teacher Rangers Bat Ranger Shark Ranger and Elephant Ranger aka Sprits Rangers which where very popular in Japan.
