The hole in the wall of the old carousel pavillion was very likely were the band organ that played music for it was. Nice they kept it. I have never been to Denver CO; but have heard of once was this great amusement park.
(((sigh))) My first real job was working at the old Elitches' in 1973. I was paid $1.10 an hour and had one of the funnest summers of my life. Oh well. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for taking the time to stroll us all down, what's become of the old Elitch Gardens, memory lane. I enjoy CO, Denver and US history. Having lived on the front range from birth to 2005, Elitch Gardens is a fond place in my memories. The bldg behind the theater was an old Elitch offices/maintenance bldg. I drove by the site occasionally from `95-`99. It was creepy to drive down the street along the back side of Mister Twister at night seeing it still standing. I miss Mister Twister! =(
