The thing is, Jive are an awful record label, and NEVER let her choose the singles she wants to release. She wanted this to be the third single, and they refused. She wanted Shattered Glass to be the fourth single, and they refused. I'm glad she's moving to RCA. Maybe they will give her more control!

If U Seek Amy didn't perform well because it was banned from radio, and by the time the 'clean' edit was released, the song had already sold the bulk of it's sales. Jive are lazy. Good Ridence.

They chose If U Seek Amy because they were hoping the chanting chorus would get stuck in peoples heads and turn the song into a hit. what Jive didn't realize was that this song would have done exactly that and more for Britney's career. not only is it a deep and beautiful song, but by the time you get to the final chorus, you can't help but sing right along with her. Missed opportunity.
