im glad she put the money in the well because if miss nitta saw her with the money they may have thought she have stolen it and would have taken the money away from her to put to her debt and she would have been screwed so it works out in the long run lol.
im reading this book and what ive noticed is the movie ommitted alot of Chiyo's background life before moving to the okiya. i recommend reading the book so you g=can get the story in a whole other perspective.
japanese houses are strange -all this paper and thin (i kno bamboo is rly strong ) bamboo stuff and yet a normal roof that wont be destroyed if you walk on it -.-
I love this scene off the film. where she is runng through the tunnals. This film has such an impact . I mean she could of had food for at least 3 months, yet she went to the wishing well and prayerd to be married one day to him. such a great film.
