  • its legitimately like being on superman the ride at six flags magic mountain.......

  • It doesnt have to be a hayabusa or r1 to catch these speeds.. All new bikes are fast enough nowdays.. I had a r6 for 4 years and i sold it for the tdm.. 0-160 'km can catch it really fast and easy.. Dont forget its a 2cylinder 900cc bike.. And in the video its mph offcurse..

  • That is amazing

  • holy shit good in drag races lol

  • 100 miles...=160.9344km

  • Süß! Mit meiner VFR 800 V4-VTEC brauche ich von 0 - 100 3,1 sec....

  • dr40er> Is ja schön für Dich, aber hier geht's um 100 meilen in der Stunde, nich kilometer.

  • well yes it takes that turbo that gives nice sound

  • my dad had a hayabusta 2008 1300cc and hit 175mph in jsut a few secs

  • @purx3ranger

    ...? and ....

  • i dont like tdm its heavy not too fast for 900

  • Of course a 900 sports bike will go much faster than the TDM, but that is not the point of a TDM. The TDM is just a great, all-rounder of a bike - you can annihilate traffic on one. It has a reasonably comfy ride, and is good for touring too. Plus I love the looks of the Mk1 850 (I've got one!)

  • @TachyonDriver mee too :) i'm waiting for new tires and suuuun :)

  • привет

  • 0-100 mp/h 7.65

  • IT IS 8.28 SEC

  • can you tell me the maximum speed of this moto

  • 220 kmh

  • thank you man

  • Max speed on my old TDM850 was 140MPH on the clock but realistically more like 125MPH

  • can any one tell me the maximum vitesse of this moto

  • Duex Baggette Et Six Croissonts Sivuplate.

  • 100 MPH = 160 klmh

  • i fell from this motorbike :D

  • Hm... If you count from the moment the bike starts moving till the clock reaches 100 mph, that's about 8.5 seconds (not 7). It's true that there's a latency with the digital speedometer and that it's showing 0 mph when the bikes is already moving, but the fact that it stops at 102 (the same time you stop accelerating) makes me think that the latency occurs just at the start. So I guess it's 8.5, but not bad non the less.

  • 7 Secondi per il TDM 900 sono troppi! Mi sa che non sai guidare... :-)

Tira bene le marce... per arrivare a 100 hai cambiato 4 marce... basta tirare prima e seconda come si deve.

  • tipo di ingannare, la metro sono in miglia!

  • cojone nn sn 100km/h sn mph e sarebbe miglia

  • Guarda che sno miglia all'ora nn kilometri!!!

  • @majtdm900 sono miglia idiota!!!!!!

    100 MP/H=160 KM/H

  • @xelamos95 vai a fanculo brutto merda bastardo... idiota lo dici a qualche altro...avevano capito anche altri come anche io... ho visto dopo che erano miglia!!! mi ti pigghia na malanova mi ti tagghia cosu lordu...

  • My mate & my father in law both had Firestorm`s, I had a TDM 850 for the upright riding position (bad back problems!). I was always first away at the lights, left them standing every time :o) Yes, they would catch up & pass me eventualy but they could never get away faster. When F I L had a go on my TDM he nearly Flipped it `cos he wasn`t expecting the instant grunt !!!!

    TDM ROOLS !!! :o)

  • LOL egrimalt !! This is mph not kmh!!!!

  • jajaja 7sec???? my vstrom 650 do it in 3,9sec !!!!!!

  • Yes sure Mate ! 100kph in 3.9 secs on a V-Strom 650, but not 160kph( 100mph ). I have a V-Strom 650 as well & it's speedo is calibrated to read the correct speed( strom speedos read approx' 7% too high ) so I know your statement is not possible.

I have no doubt that TDM 900 will pull 160kph in 7secs no problem at all !

  • the test i made it with GPS.... whatever you can read this times in every magazine. Vstrom is 650 and in better in acceleration.

  • Mate I had a V-Strom 650 now I ride a TDM 900. If you are saying that a V-Strom 650 will accelerate faster than a TDM you are living in Fairyland! To start with they weight exactly the same but the TDM has 18 horsepower & 20Nm of torque more than the V-Strom. Unless your V-Strom is geared down heaps there is absolutely no way it can out accelerate a TDM. My wife hangs on tight on the TDM, on the V-Strom she doesn't need to.

I think you need to get your GPS checked!

  • i dont think so....TDM 0-60 3.5s Vstrom 0-60 3.9. But like you say tdm is bigger !!!! I think that if ypoi compare the one thousand with the TDM you are going to see de difference. But is not bad for a 650 ..... in that terms i really think is better !!!

  • yeah man..... my 14 year old 850 3VD kicks new DL650's ass anytime...

  • I have a TDM 900 also tried the same experiment.

I had my girl friend on the back, with stop watch in one hand and camera in the other, however, she is now pushing 18 stone so reckon results may not be accurate.... (Shes a great cook though)

  • Yeah, consider this for a moment. What all you non believers are saying is that it takes 7 secs for the tdm 900 to get to 62mph??!! What a load of guff! I had a 1980 bmw R80/7 and it took (manufacturing figures) 5.2 secs to 60 mph so how on earth a modern 900 twin is going to be slower??! Wise up people, this is mph and i also know as i have a 2007 TDM 900 and its very deceptively quick.

  • lol this is Km per Hour

  • better look a bit closer to home for the idiot mate ! TDM 900 will pull 100kph in 3.5 secs.

  • But in this case you're correct the bike only gets to 100kph

  • are you frickin stupid READ THE TITLE "Yamaha TDM 900 0-100 mph 7 seconds" NOTE THE MPH (MILES PER HOUR) NOT KPH YOU IDIOT

  • Hey you know what , maybe you're right as the bloke is in UK & I didn't realise they are still using MPH. I just got myself a TDM & they are agreat bike. But piss-off with the abusive attitude cock! Pretty easy for chicken shits like you to haul off on people over the net!

  • I has a tdm 900 with laser cans, power commander and a K&N filter ans=d I can assure there was nothing tedius about it 0 - 100 it went off like a bomb!

  • MUY BUEN VIDEOOOO

  • how do you accelerate on a bike so fast without it flipping over?

  • It could be mph but it is a tuned Tdm. I have a tdm too...

  • nguli

  • maybe the speddo is in miles not in km

  • l2read the video title

  • How is that possible? TDM 900 specs : 190 kg 87 bhp According to the superbike mag 07 jun edition when testing the 07 r1 came up with the exactly same time like this TDM . R1 specs 171 kg and 161 bhp . U sure is mph ? Usually when u drag u would change to second gear over 60 mph not at 35 ..

  • Acceleration has more to do with torque, not performance.

  • Pretty possible. It's all about torque and gearing. TDM has great torque across the rev range, and higher gearing. This mean real quick acceleration, but a lower top speed, so while R1 has the horse power to keep accelerating hard to 300kmph, TDM kinda dies around 240.

  • Yeah,I have an 850 TDM with exhaust and inlet mods that make up for the 50CC deficit and it is dead on with this bikes 0 to 100 in MPH.I would however like to have the 6 spd the 900 has to lower the cruise RPM without taking from the sprint capabilities.

  • very impresive!!

  • Why do they call this the TDM? Sounds like tedium. This video suggests that it isn't!

  • thats definitly MPH.... kool

  • I own one of these. This bike hits 100 km/h when you get into the red zone with the 2nd gear (or during switching to 3rd).In the video he hits 100 with the 4th gear, its definately miles/hour

  • @lantidis read the title

  • @arniebarb123 Read the discussion. Before making such wise*ss comments you should read that the discussion back then when I posted that was about the speed being indicated in km/h or m/h

  • Wish that bike was available in the states.

  • TDM 900 acceleration:

    0-100 km/h in 3.5-3.8 seconds

    0-150 km/h in ~6.2 seconds

so that 7second for 0-160 is fine!!! ;-)

  • THIS IS MPH not km/h

  • of course it is not MPH!!!! think!!!! that means it would be 160 km/u!!

  • jajaja pudrete indiana.

  • indiana it doesnt have to be r1 to get 100mph in 7 secs, plus r1 does 100mph in approx 4,5 secs.. we are talking about a 900cc bike here,,tdm900 does 100 kmh in 4 secs,do a fucking research before commenting

  • hahahahahahaha, the speedo is km/h not mph...tards

  • indianamax22, a tdm does 0/60 mph in 4 seconds, trust me, as an owner I know...a R1 is only fast at a million rpm ;-).

  • Thats how sportbikes work....high RPM, high speed. An R1 would rape your bike and leave its ass bleeding.

  • your a typical yank , only interested in power and speed in a straight line..

I take you on a track with the bends anyday..

Last yamaha circuitday her in holland a tdm was the fastest bike on the track , a track with actual bends(tt circuit assen).

let me spell bottompower and handling for ya..

  • Damn, how do you know so much about me? You think I'm a yank and that all I'm interested in is speed in a straight line. Hahahahaha.

  • Ok guys,, I know TDM is a good bike,, but the speed is

100 KM/h and not 100 mph,IN SEVEN SECOND IS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE TDM IS NOT LIKE R1!!!!

  • Yea, you're stupid.

  • Great bike!

  • nice sound :)

  • This guys a 15 stone girl!
