Sure the dragons a SWEET road but there are countless roads that are almost as fun. anyone ever ride that road to nowhere??? its got grass growing out of cracks in the road and you end up looking at a tunnel. awsome raod and barely nobody on it. just watch for the bump near the bridge and your golden.

I have ridden the Dragon several times but highly recommend you avoid it on weekends during the warmer days! Local pigs and I do mean pigs set up vans with one way glass/camera behind it to shoot your tag then ticket in the mail. Or they have shooters with radar gun with roadblock down the road or chasers. It was too crazy anyway last weekend I rode it, Harley guys doing 25mph giving off sparks dragging something, cruisers/BMW's doing 35 and the sport rockets doing 45+! Saw two bike wrecks !
The funny thing is that back when I made this we had to use off duty cops from another state that were passing through the Dragon. NOW there seems to be a cop for each of the 11 miles AND they are mad as hornets trying to sting every biker that takes a wrong breath!
I shot this about 5 years ago. Little did I know how true it would become. These cops were just passing through the state (there were going to some cop convention) and stopped to talk. They were funny and agreed to do the little chase since no one seemed to be out on a Thursday afternoon.

Believe it or not those are actual police bikes and the sirens you hear are on the bikes. The guys are police officers taking these unmarked bikes to Florida. (They were not officers from N.C. but were willing to have a little fun.) The voices, of course, are fake.
Um... Dude, you are kidding right? The bikes the cops had were BMW R1200 RTs (touring version) The cop's bikes would in reality and with equal riders... actually stomp the holy batshit out of the other two bikes pictured. Yes those are real police bikes.. the kind preferred by the California HP.
uh. your an idiot. You obviously have never ridden the dragon. A 250cc bike could rip the shit out of a gixxer 1k or any other bike on the dragon if they were GOOD. Its the RIDER not the ride that matters most. I know theres a guy on a Goldwing that hauls ass on the Dragon all the time.

While the BMW R1200RT is a nice bike and all, it is 100lbs heavier and down 10hp on the quicker and nimbler Speed Triples in this video (955's). On a straight road the bimmer could certainly keep the Triumphs in eye-shot, but when the road gets squiggly (as the Dragon tends to) the RT with an equal rider wouldn't stand a chance.
