  • 5:18 AHHH RANDOM ARM!!!

  • you probably know this already, the audio commentary for the She Ra film said that it was written for a 5 part episode, and scenes were cut out for the movie, which as a movie isn't that paced well. They move from one storyline to another without a good transition, because it works better as a 5-parter. That's why it didn't get a theatrical release. I still like the movie and the commentary has the guy who voice Skeletor.

  • Please make a indep review of your bravestarr dvd and talk about the show please.

  • nice review. and your wife is nice too.

  • we need more package opening vids

  • Have you seen that a company called Mill Creek Entertainment are releasing bare bones versions of the Filmation titles on Amazon.

  • Yeah, I've noticed they're re-releasing some of them, but without the extras...

  • Hey Sean. Just a heads up for those who are going to buy this on DVD. HOLD OFF.

Warner Bros is trying to triple dip people, if you've bought the 2 disc special edition you may already know this. But in it they included an ADVERTISEMENT for the 5-Disc Ultimate collectors edition, which will be retailing sometime this Christmas. So if, like me, you want to have the definitive edition of the film then just wait until the holidays and let them know you don't want to play their money making games.

  • I'm referring to The Watchmen, sorry. ^_^

  • S'alright, I've known about the Extended version for months, since Zach Snyder mentioned it in an interview. Apparently both editions will have different extras, so I'm gettin' both! Watchmen is one I don't mind double-dipping on for more content. LOVED it. Besides, I managed to get the snazzy Steelbook edition of the Director's Cut on Blu-ray. :) The Extended cut will no doubt be the version I re-watch most often, though.

  • do more game reviews/walkthroughs there mint m8

  • I believe that Filmation was bought out by a French company called L'Oreal (that company that maked kids' shampoos, yeah, they don't really care about kids, folks). The entire staff of Filmation was fired a day or two before a law was set to pass that would require them to give two months notice.

Flyingmoose has a great He-Man page that talks about all of this.

  • "Man Vs. Package!" Uhhhhhhhhhh. :-P

  • Winner: The Package! LOL

  • How much did the "Best of" cost? I remember seeing them in Zellers bargin bins.. I forgot the price though. $9.99?

  • thank you for the shout, out that made my day

  • i bet it feels so good when a package arrive by your door... lol i turn into kid mode haha! like yay my package lol

  • It started off looking like a brick of coke.

  • Speaking of cowboy western cartoons. Have you seen Cowboy Beebop? I think i got the name right on that. It is a cowboy anime movie.

  • Haven't sene Cowboy Bebop yet. Though I see it's been put out in a nice, affordable edition as part of the "Anime Legends" series. I plan to grab that at some point and see what I've been missing all these years. :)

  • DOCTOR ZARANYZERAK, (friendly question) if you had the chance to rename Blu-Ray, what would you name it? What do you think of Blu-Ray / DVD combos such as Road House and the Graduate where the Blu-Ray disc is barebones but the DVD is extras-filled?

  • bravestar rules..i remember speding hot greek mediteranian noons watching bravestar and galaxy rangers and shows like those....that's before the private channels came out and bought everything interesting and fun...

  • do you guys think buying the Ghostbusters 1 and 2 pack together for 10 bucks is a good deal? i thought it was. Fred Myers had it.

  • Oh for sure, it was pretty cheap, comes with a collector's book, and they're both new transfers from what was previously released. The only drawback is that the first one doesn't have as many extras as the original release.

  • yea i noteced the missing features. i see the orignal for hella cheep, i probly pick it up.

    Thanks!

  • I have since then sold the VHS and the LaserDisc.

  • Hang on to the DVD (I didn't, foolishly) - there's different extras than the Blu-ray.

  • Zaranyzerak

I kept my special edition DVD from the year 2000, and I bought the collectors edition DVD. I am gonna buy the Blu-Ray very soon.

The special edition contains an audio commentary from the director. it is not on the collectors edition or the blu-ray.

  • Did you ever own The Nightmare Before Christmas on LaserDisc ?

I just had the basic CLV edition.

  • Nope, the only version I ever had was the aformentioned Special Edition with the commentary.

  • Nice Mug.

    The Nightmare Before Christmas rocks.

I plan on buying the Blu-Ray of that movie.

I bought it on VHS when it first came out, LaserDisc for 7 bucks brand new in 1997 , and the special edition DVD in 2001 , and the collectors edition dvd in 2008.
