I prefer these types of covers. I hate it when people play the song over the orignal, its much better when they re-create the whole song from scratch and leave out the lyrics. Its easier to hear and feels like you the creator of the song (if you understand what Im getting at)

@gundgen I don't think the headstock pulls it down cause normally it depends on the placement of the strap knobs. But the SG's tend to do that :)

Have to say i've played strats and Les Paul's and always felt a little intimidated by them. There's so much prestige that goes along with them. End result is they don't really live up to the hype. Both excellent guitars and i mean properly excellent but i never get the same buzz off them as i do off my own BC Rich Mockingbird. Admittedly its an 80's NJ series Mockingbird and so probably best of the bunch but still, for guitars that cost in excess of £1500 more than my own i'd expect blown away.

i have a fender i use it mainly for blues because when i play the fender i feel like i can play the blues fluintly. i also have a les paul and when i play that i feel more of a rock sensation. to me fenders and gibson les pauls are amazing its just what sensation you get when you pick the guitar up. :D

the effect of Wah Wah is when you play with 2 guitars the Rythmy guitar and Lead guitar

that means Izzi Stradlin and Slash part play in correct time and sound the Wah :D

There *are* reasons to have more than one of a similar guitar. For instance, hendrix having several strats (other than destroying them onstage). Joe Perry has over 300 guitars (many of them Les Pauls, but also Strats and Teles as well). Slash himself has over a hundred. Different Les Pauls from different years have different sounds and styles. They're all different guitars.

actually Gibson do really suck these days. The quality Gibsons stopped being made around 2000. The Fender guitar is still as good as it was before 2000. But i think that if you want to find a quality Les Paul from the 80s or 70s which you don't have to pay to much cash for to get, you should get a Burny, Orville or a Greco. These guitars are made in maple and do easily beat the Gibson guitars made these days! Plus they feel great and sound awesome!!! miles better than Epiphone!
