Using Japanese for counting is advance level. You don't say just 1,2,3 like you said. Counting people, dogs, birds, hoses, insects, flowers, Cars, ships, Books, pages, Pencils, words, many more.... you just don't say 1 car or 2 birds. This is a good video.
only mistake is for the beer. You have to use "hon" after a number, so "biiru nihon onegai shimasu" (ビール 二ほん おねがい します） would be 2 beers Please. Otherwise your Japanese is really good ;)
