  • I believe he says "haply jizz".

  • @MoonPhase94 it was ha'penny jizz (as in half-penny)

  • I think it was 'hate me jizz'

'sinning dog of a whore' lmao

  • She's gone, child...

  • I look at it this way. Which type of priest would you want during an exorcism?

The lovely elderly old man, or him.

  • @MQuinny1234 Definitely Evil Vicar.

  • oh. my. fucking. lol.

  • its heroic when he just pulls out the cross

  • ...Are you testing me, Satan?

  • i would have certainly left a quid..

  • Absolute class! Prodigious in scope and humour alike.

  • I actually have more respect for vicars like this than the ones with tamborines.

  • never seen a role more suited to david mitchell xD

  • never seen a role more suited to david mitchell xD

  • "Evil" vicar...?

  • He's not that the worst priest...

At least he hasn't raped any children.

  • "I couldn't give a ha'penny jizz for your internet assembled philosophy!"

  • @nontrainspotter I think it's "hate-me jizz", like one full of self-loathing.

  • These guys are geniuses at closing up their skits. I can't imagine how hard it is to write the last line of a short sketch, and they nail it every time!

  • ... I need more of these skits

  • "Evil vicar"???

    Is there any other kind?

  • david with a mustache calling sophie a bitch. After watching Peep Show the moment is just priceless

  • "I couldn't give a ha'penny jizz for your internet assembled philosophy". Surely that sentence could be used on any internet troll you come into contact with?

  • I watch these and always find myself on the side of the David Mitchell character.

  • "And we're back."

    "Who?"

"The incredibly horrible and twisted people who are still unaccountably vicars."

  • at least leave a quid for the upkeep lol

  • "My kind have harvested the souls of a million peasants" that line just cracks me up!

  • Not evil, proper

  • Man, there are a ton of fascists in the comments. Americans tend to forget about Britain's Fifth Column types, the skin-heads and BNP members. It's just a country of sarcastic humor and twee accents.

  • @GeopoliticalHistory americans know nothing of the world but stereotypes

  • @ReyFlame82

    HERP FUCKING DERP

At least we know a lot about hypocrites. Tard.

  • wow this owns christianity haha

  • You'd think that couple would have realised by now that it's the same evil, moustached man following them around...

  • i love david mitchell :) x

  • My favorite sketch in M&W :D

  • 'At least leave a quid for the upkeep'. So speaketh a proper clergyman!

  • Nice. Check out Party Heroes Episode 1: The Ultimate Rager

  • OMG im watching this in Daventry!!!!

  • @bhandalg I also did so. I was in The Barcelo by the river but normally I use the Staverton Park. Its not a very thriving place so I can see why its a Purgatory

  • I cant stop laughing at "And we all thought you were a bitch"

  • BEGONE!

  • 240p we meet again >:(

  • @MegaDragonking123 ahh '240p we meet again' comment we meet again

  • @corpsemunger I just had to say that...

  • amazing.

  • lol, only religious people would think this favors them.

  • I've found a few fundamentalist Christian websites run by some extremely "holier than thou" types, and Mitchell's vicar in this sketch reminds me of such people.

  • I'm doing a theology degree, and I want to make everyone who feels like having read The God Delusion makes them qualified to talk about religion watch this sketch.

  • @MrOdsplut Tbh if you've read the God Delusion then you're unlikely to step into a church.

  • I love this series. But then I want to live in a world where we use honourifics and last names rather than everyones first names. I want a place were people can be proud of their elitism (even if its missplaced elitism) and can we PLEASE get over the whole making everything accessible to everyone. Expecially in case, its not what religion is about. Read the book of revelations lately? 144 000 people are getting in to heaven. Think that includes you? (definatly not me as Im an athiest :)

  • @Nexius8 That's a common misinterpretation. If only that number were really going to Heaven, then I'd imagine it would be a quite empty place. If you're Fred Phelps, who thinks EVERYBODY (except him and his "Baptist" church members) is going to Hell, then that might be true.

  • @marksoutof10 The reason the numbers seem so small in bible is because, to the ignorant savages that wrote the stories, those seemed like incredibly large numbers. And at the time, that would have been a lot of people in one place.

Doing a quick search, apparently the largest number mentioned anywhere in the bible is 200,000,000, which is a very large number for a book that claims π = 3.0

  • @l337pwnage Anyone who thinks the Bible to be written by savages is a cynical and arrogant douchebag, not to mention ill informed. The show is a sketch, not an argument

  • @pshycberrycherry All you have to do is read it, then it becomes very obvious it was written by nomadic desert savages.

I wasn't commenting on the show, I was commenting on someone else's comment.

And some of M&W's other sketches are even better. ;)

    /watch?v=7dwFkrch44g

  • @l337pwnage fair doose mate

  • @l337pwnage

It's a better read than anything a faith hater has ever written.

  • @ivlfounder Actually (almost) ANY book is better, the dictionary is just one example. Or maybe a science book, if you feel like a challenge.

    /watch?v=ZFrkjEgUDZA

  • @l337pwnage

    A science book?

Most lack poetry, plot, and pathos.

  • @ivlfounder True, the bible is far more pathological, if that is what you want, but the poetry is shit and it really doesn't have much of a plot since it is a bunch of disparate stories put together. Some of it can make more since if you read the stories that were left out, but even those are just ancient fables that are incredibly simple minded and morally backward.

I'll stick with reading Harry Potter, far better in every way.

  • @l337pwnage

Let me guess you hate shakespeare too after all there are no fast cars or loose women to keep your attention in any of his works either.

FYI the author of Harry Potter is a Christian.

Keep that in mind while you attempt to grasp the plot of a childrens book.

  • @ivlfounder Well, I guess as long as you understand that we are talking about works of fiction, that is the only point I was making and you seem to have gotten it. But fiction is not my favorite subject, and is not valuable, except for a brief bit of entertainment. If ancient fairy tales and dramas are your thing, go for it, but don't forget there is also a real world that exists outside of your fantasies.

  • @l337pwnage

Tonight countless people in Africa will teach their children about a rabbit that tricks a mean wild dog into letting him go.

Should we tell them they are wrong to do this?

  • @ivlfounder If you tell them it is an imaginary story, you tell them almost anything. But don't teach teach them crap out of a bible and tell them that it is real, or this is what happens:

    /watch?v=MlRG9gXriVI

  • @l337pwnage

They tell it to kids in Africa as though it's fact.

  • "I'm very spiritual" is just another way of saying "I like the idea of a loving God and eternal life, but I don't like the sound of followng rules!"

  • @Lazyguy22 Or just a way of saying "I think the rules are fucking stupid". Because frankly, a lot are.

  • @Lazyguy22 That sounds pretty sensible to me.

  • @Lazyguy22 Actually, it has nothing to do with a "God" :)

    spir·it·u·al [spir-i-choo-uhl] Show IPA

    adjective

    1.

of, pertaining to, or consisting of spirit; incorporeal.

    2.

of or pertaining to the spirit or soul, as distinguished from the physical nature: a spiritual approach to life.

  • @LadyGildaClift

O' fuck off. We get it- you're Atheist. And because of that you're immediately better than everyone. If you really want to be superior to everyone, become an ignostic. It's far better than every other religion because I said so.

  • @sciences8

No one was even talking to you douchewad, settle down.

  • @LadyGildaClift

    umad

    That makes me happier.

And there's a distinct difference between being peeved and being unsettled.

  • @sciences8

And you are full of nonsensical ramblings. I bet your god would be proud if you learned how to use proper english and punctuation. Also, its rude to assume you know anything about what beliefs some one holds. Its what other humans call "ignorant". I have a feeling you are incredibly familiar with the term. Douchewad.

  • @LadyGildaClift

Going on about my improper syntax and in the same sentence you defile the English language by referring to it as "english". Nice job bitch.

And you didn't even bother to look up ignosticism on Wikipedia, did you? That might have helped your case- now you just look like a bigger idiot. Oh well, this is only getting better for me.

And Atheism isn't a belief- isn't that what all of you cherish most about your non-religion? Kind of ironic...

  • @sciences8 i think atheism is a belief in there not being any divine being or afterlife, not a lack of belief

  • @sciences8 Atheism is the 'belief' that there are no deities, idiot. Likewise, Ignosticism is the 'belief' that due to the lack of distinction concerning the concept of gods or just plain not caring about it, they don't matter. basically being ignorant. I'm guessing that's what you consider yourself?

  • @SuckMyRightToe Ignorant of what? You can read as many holy texts as you like and you will never gain any knowledge as to whether their contents are true.

  • @wratched You can cross reference from religious texts but that's not what I meant, just because you 'believe', note the key word there, that there are no gods or no point in discussing gods, I agree there's very little chance but to say absolutely not is ignorance.

  • @SuckMyRightToe

Learn your own goddamn "religion" son. atheism is the REJECTION of belief in the existence of deities. "Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist."

ABSENCE OF BELIEF. Fucking ignorant cunt.

And ignostics believe that in order to debate whether God exists or not, one must define God. For some, this could be as extreme as deism, and others, much closer to agnosticism (or perhaps atheism). Which is logical for skeptics. Now piss off.

  • @sciences8 I've covered this, it's your belief, you 'believe' there are no gods, simple. Skeptics shouldn't sit back and allow religion to carry on unchallenged, unless they can define what a god is of course . . it's a bit of a cop out, there's a multitude of different ideas surrounding what a god is and one definition won't be reached, ignorance is bliss and you've found yourself an excuse to avoid conflict or find out about religion. Happy?

  • @SuckMyRightToe There is a difference between not believing in god and believing that there is no god. Big difference in the negation with most atheists sitting in the former camp rather than the latter.

  • @Franticalmagic Ignoring subcultures within atheism, it's generally the belief that there are no gods. I think agnostic would be be a better term, it's disbelief in the thus far unknowable things that people try to explain through supposed supernatural means, which is logical. In short, if you're narrow minded enough to assume you know everything, you're an athiest or theist, if you can comprehend the fact you don't, you're a agnostic or ignostic, ignostic being the ignorant, understand English

  • @SuckMyRightToe I don't get where you have found this "generally". Most atheists I know, including myself. Hold to the fact that there is no good reason to believe in god/s. Therefore they must be discounted as irrelevant or at least superfluous in meta-physical discussions.

  • @Franticalmagic That's being ignostic, thanks for keeping up . . Refer to previous comments

  • Comment removed

  • @SuckMyRightToe In other words, if you do have a true and complete belief in a God or higher deity, you are a theist. If you do not believe in any Gods after closely and carefully considering various religious arguments, you are an atheist, and on the whole, are fully aware of the limited knowledge of the universe that you possess. You do not believe you know everything, rather you are simply of the view that supernatural deities do not exist.

  • @SuckMyRightToe

You're using belief as you would in a religious sense. It's merely a synonym that people associate with something they think is true. The religious sense of belief is faith. Faith in God, Allah, Yahweh, etc. Religious groups hold their beliefs as their faith. A person who thinks that God doesn't exist, holds a belief in such a thing, but does not have FAITH in it. Your use of belief implies a sense of worship or responsibility that other religions have. Atheism is not that.

  • @sciences8 And you think your opinion is truth, that's a belief . . it really couldn't be simpler. 'Belief is the psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true'- even saved you the effort of opening a dictionary as you clearly have a problem with them. You believe there is no god with your limited knowledge of the universe, At best you can say earthly religions are bullshit, to deny the possibility of some god like being is narrow-minded and ignorant though

  • @Lazyguy22 I thought that meant you were a deist. I like the idea of a loving God and eternal life, and I wouldn't consider myself spiritual at all...

  • @Lazyguy22

And "I'm very religious" is just another way of saying, "I'm a narrow minded asshole."

  • banished by the bishop

  • be gone.

  • Are you testing me Satan?!

  • ah 240p we meet again

  • uh, at least leave a quid for the upkeep XD

  • I love evil David Mtchell

  • "... they're all gone"

every time i hear that line xD

  • Its a sketch vaguely about religion, but racism is the main topic of "conversation" (in its broadest possible sense). Well played youtube, well played...

  • 240p..... We meet again.....

  • what episode is this

  • The UK and Europe are doomed if we are populated by faggots like the leftist shits below me. I'm not even white and I know that much. Do us a favour and kill yourselves or go and live in the muslim shit dumps you love so much.

  • At least leave a quid for the upkeep!

  • With such a vicar, I'd reconsider going to church.

    And I'm atheist.

  • I like the laugh after "my wife's entitled to her views" at 1:24

  • I miss the 50's ;-;

  • I'm from Daventry!! =)

  • @du1987de ..Used to visit there as a kid actually, was a quaint little town full of nice people but going back there back in 2010 it had almost completely changed..another victim of Nu-Labour's immigration agenda and mixed-race babies born in the 90s who now ''all talk like dis''.

  • @Dungarth Lived in a nearby Village for 18 years myself and then moved into Daventry itself about 6 years ago now. My grandparents have lived here for ages now though, my Dad went to Danetre school here when it first opened. There are quite a few of those sort of people living here now, it used to be a tiny market town many a year ago.

  • @Dungarth - The leader of the free world is mixed race you racist cunt. Want to explain what makes you think you have more rights to be in the U.K. than a mixed race child that was born here? Because I am interested to hear you expand on your aryan race ideas or should I just check Mein Kampf. Last I heard a lot of decent people died to get rid of your race supremacy bollocks. We made it pretty clear who is not welcome in the U.K. - fascist scum like you.

  • @WillShakespeare2007 ..Oh I seem to have angered a letfy liberalist crybaby! Btw Churchill spoke of the dangers of mass non-European immigration AND he was a Conservative which means he was obviously keen on preservation AND he fought to keep the British people BRITISH..not African and not Pakistani. And you say leader of the ''free world'' lol...how brainwashed are you? America is about as free as the Petrol your mum gets for her Mini Metro.

  • @Dungarth Oh dear, you seem to have used the word "Liberal" as an insult.

I think you'll find that Churchill's war was against the Nazis (white people) and not against Africans and Pakistanis (Pakistan obviously didn't exist back then). Many Africans and Indians fought and died in the war against Nazism and we should never forget that.

It's true that Churchill was no fan of India and his policies resulted in the starvation of many, including my grandparents. I'm no fan of India or Pakistan

  • either, that's because I'm Culturist, Not Racist, like you appear to be.

It doesn't matter what colour a humans' skin is, but where they're brought up has a big influence and what type of people they are Does matter, immensely.

We shouldn't let islam ruin our country, it's true, but we shouldn't let idiots like the BNP ruin it either.

Right wing politics are the politics of selfishness, not of sensibleness, like they would have you believe.

  • @pineapplepenumbra I have nothing but respect for the wars fought against the tyranny of Nazism, but those wars were not fought so that Britain can become a dumping ground for the 3rd world..Churchill DID NOT send our troops into battle for that... and if you think otherwise then you are sadly extremely delusional.

  • @Dungarth "those wars were not fought so that Britain can become a dumping ground for the 3rd world."

I never said, or even implied, that they were, did I?

If you analyse why Britain is so rich, compared to many other countries in the world, amongst facotrs like having ample coal reserves and people with the intelligence to exploit those reserves, you also come across reasons like Slavery and Empire. That means that Britain went out and raped the resources of other countries, and now you

  • begrudge their descendents a little payback? Think logically, if that's possible for you.

Btw, when you use the term "nigger" you're the one that looks bad, not anyone of recent African descent. I inserted the word "recent" as we are all Africans and, if you had a proper racial analysis of your DNA, you might be surpised to find out what a mongrel you are.

I also think that Will's offer is genuine, so why not meet him? I'll come along too.

  • @Dungarth - You're just another fucking coward hiding on YouTube. I am an Englishman in mixed race marriage with mixed race children and I challenge you to meet me any place or anytime and we will see who is the better man. You are nothing but a pathetic racist loser that will run a mile. My grandfather fought those wars against racists like you. I will gladly finish the job anytime you think you have it in you to get out and face me. We can film it and post it here. You got it in you loser?

  • @WillShakespeare2007 ..Hey if you want to dip your dick in mud thats entirely up to you, btw I like how you have to resort to petty online threats whilst calling me a pathetic loser? oh how I love that irony. My grandfather fought in WW2 also..but he fought for the British, he didn't fight to see the Britain we live in today...he didn't fight to see Niggers ruining Britain's streets and Muslims running our streets also. Why don't you take your litter of mixed breed kids and disappear.

  • @Dungarth "dip your dick in mud"

Do you know what the word/name "Adam" means?

  • @Dungarth

"he didn't fight to see Niggers ruining Britain's streets and Muslims running our streets also"

I'm not sure if I give a fuck why your grandfather fought in the war but if he fought it to keep Muslims and "Niggers" out of Britain then he was on the wrong side.

  • @WillShakespeare2007 I'm coming, too. Providing we can persuade him to turn up.

I always try and follow the rule that I speak to people on the internet as I would do face to face, but, according to my girlfriend, I'm often ruder in person. I don't see it myself.

  • @WillShakespeare2007 Its interesting how the left has managed to spin the reasons behind our involvement in ww2 to make it appear like our grandfathers fought for the destruction of fascism and racism. We did not go to war with germany because we fancied a great crusade against racism we went to war with them because they invaded our allies. We were more than happy to let them slaughter their own jews and gypsies for years as long as it didnt get too close to our territories.

  • @squamish4244

Zionist Movement present several decades prior to WWII?

  • Comment removed

  • @StateAndUnity I'm not sure it was so much "more than happy" as "what a government does to people within its own jurisdiction is not a valid reason for taking military action against them." That's why Libya caused such a stir.

  • so funny when he bellows "BE GONE!"

  • This is brilliant stuff, but I think the YouTube video is mis-titled. This guy isn't "evil" so much as just very old-fashioned. You'd get a very similar reaction if some modern "not really religious, but spiritual" sort of people could drop in on a Christian church 500 years ago. He's medieval rather than evil.

  • @crd560 I don't think they were that bad

  • "I saw you in here last week, I saw you reading the notices and talking about views and eating other people's biscuits. We were watching you from the vestry and we all thought you were a BITCH."

  • When you see David Mitchell with that moustache, you know the sketch will be incredibly evil and funny beyond belief.

  • "Not particularly religious? Interested? Spiritual?.........Are you testing me Satan?"

  • I'd grab that cross and bash his head in with it

  • @Thordpt

You'd crap your pants and flee in terror.

  • "And we're BACK. The incredibly horrible and twisted people who are still unaccountably vicars."

  • Anyone know the name of the music playing as the Vicar chases them out?

  • This is nothing short of fantastic hahaha

  • At least leave a quid for the upkeep! Priceless.

  • are you testing me Satan? :L

  • ha'pney jizz xD

  • I know people (ThinkingAtheist would call them the "theologian" variety of apologist) who are EXACTLY like that.

  • and we all thought you were a Bitch!

  • i love the "evil" series, they are exactly the same, just different wording and they are all hilarious!

  • I went to a church once that was exactly like that.

  • @RuskePerson

You're lucky to have met a vicar so frighteningly articulate. lol

  • ...IN THE MEANTIME, DAVENTRY!

  • DAMN SINNING DOG OF A WHORE!

  • this was the very 1st M&W sketch i saw...

    brilliant!

  • What happened to the friendly lady vicar with the colorful jumper?

  • @ukstevey she's gone.

  • This is part of their wonderful recurring sketch of "Incredibly Horrible and Twisted People Who Are Still Unaccountably..."

I think the first one involved waiters. It's so beautifully done.

  • I could swear that the church in this is my local church but can't be sure. Does anyone know where this was filmed?

  • Haha god i hate that word spiritual

  • ha'penny jizz. . . I have to use that one. . .

  • Are you testing me satan

  • @KC101X Me too!

  • These skits are great. There is no "good guy"

  • 2000?! 500 more like! it's the catholics who've had 2000 years of darkness and bafflement and hunger.

  • ahahahahahahahaha "and we're BACK"

  • The best argument for organized religion I've ever heard. "Internet assembled philosophy" lol. too right

  • in the meantime, daventry :)

  • @Papped1710 what does that part about daventry mean? i dont get that :-( is that some inside joke?

  • @qwertzu3 I think its just a shit place to live.
