  • this is amazingly cool that they both meet. I hope david brent actually comes on the us version and works in the office lmao

  • Ricky wont want to be tied to a 24 episode show I'm pretty sure.

  • Ricky's too smart to bring back David Brent. Leave on a high and all that....

  • Ricky Gervais WILL be returning as David Brent along with Will Arnett .. David Brent will be interviewing for Michael Scott's job in the Season finale! YAY

  • @Neeebla I think Will Ferrell is replacing him

  • @hellolary hm well they already said that Ferrell is only going to be in 4 episodes to "ease the transition"

  • @hellolary Boo! Its bad enough that Erin and Gabe already over act their parts. Especially Erin. Ugh!

  • "Any jobs going?"

    "No, not right now."

    "Just let me know."

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO TEASE US?!! WE ALL KNOW THERE'S NO CHANCE RICKY WILL REPLACE STEVE, UGH... MY MONEY IS ON WILL ARNETT REPLACING THE GREAT MICHAEL SCOTT.

  • "Herro!! Herro!!"

  • When steve carell leaves he will be the new boss. mark my words.

  • My balls tingled when I saw this. Classic

  • "got any job openings?"

    "no, not right now"

common, that has to be the biggest drop clue. Unless the writers just wanted to fuck with us, I say David Brent is replacing Carrel

  • THIS IS PERFECTION! LOVE MICHAEL SCOTT!!!! CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!

  • Scott "your english correct?"

    Brent "yeah big time yeah"

    :) love ricky.

  • I love Michael's face after David says "TWSD" xD

  • he said on a radio show in england he is going back again as david brent

  • If Ricky was gonna be on the show, part of the show would be that Michael would die to have someone like David working in the same office with him.

  • David Brent hasn't changed at all in the past 10 years. It really signifies a friendship between two very similar countries.

  • I LOVE THIS!

  • Not that funny the first time, but each time it gets funnier and funnier...

  • Man look how red their faces are, i swear this took them about 80 takes to get right from each of them bursting into laughter, serioulsy this one take would have been the most difficult challenge of both their careers. And i dare say the result is near perfection.

  • I am not a follower of the US Office, so would like to know what season/episode is this? And has Ricky made any more appearances beside this scene? Thanks

  • @Majornabarn no ricky did not appear after this scene this was the only scene that ricky appeared but when the season is about to end he will appear and be part of the show for the rest of the seasons

  • @trickster43va Do you really think so??? Cuz I've been wondering about that! :D Dunder Mifflin is going to be hiring very soon. Maybe David Brent was more than just a nostalgic throwback moment....

  • Gervais is such a legend - barely noticing the camera!

  • @PancakesoftheLove

Are you serious? The reason why Michael Scott looks into the camera so often is because it's a part of his character. Ego and silly etc.

  • Nobody loves The Office more than me, but this really wasnt funny.

  • @blissbomb1988 SO AGREE!!! but i dt think it was meant to be extremely funny tho...in my opinion it was jst a moment that needed to happen at some point: Michael Scott meeting David Brent. period! Michael was happy to know there is someone out there who thinks like him! haha

  • This is too funny they should hav done a whole episode

  • not as funnny as it hought it wouold be

  • ROFL he's about to walk past then he notices the camera, classic David Brent!

Highly doubt he's gonna replace Carell though, he always said the shows should be kept separate

  • @Mashmehash I noticed that too! Gervais is so subtle, I love how he's ready to keep going until he glances the camera. You can see his face light up and then comes the grin and the laugh! I miss cringing at David Brent

  • @Mashmehash Then why did he make a cameo if he thought that the 2 shows should be kept separate?

  • @Mashmehash They are seperate. The British one isn't on any more. David Brent is free to apply at Dunder Mifflin and bring his experience (and hilarity) in.

  • maybe theres more but i counted at least 16 times somebody has posted this opening.

  • huh. i still havent seen the british office. is hould probably finally get around to watching it.

  • The only character that could replace Michael Scott without ruining the US Office is Brent. But the US Office IS Michael Scott so without him it wouldn't be right.

Hope they don't drag a weaker version into season 8.

A good ending to season 7and The Office US, would be Michael moving away to be with Holly. A great ending would be that but right at the end you see Brent going for an interview at Saber to replace him.

Leave it at that then the audience is left wondering who the manager is.

  • nanannanananan

  • That was surprisingly not awul. Ricky doing good work as always.

  • @DrewBludd Yeah, they had surprisingly good chemistry. I thought their two styles would clash, but they fell in love a bit.

  • haha, he used an old XFM joke!

  • @LMW87MMA Lol, yeah! I'm hoping we might see Camp David make an appearance in his next Hollywood movie as well - You can't leave such classic material unused.
