For some reason, I never had much trouble with the crabs, and I could usually avoid the starfish, except for certain places (I found that by not overjumping the final bolt in Act 3, they wouldn't activate at all) But those goddamn MANTISES would FUCK ME OVER every time I went up the yellow bumpers, unless I had Super Sonic or a shield.
