Sorry, i have been living in NZ all my fucking life. I have never ever seen a kiwi betray his nation and plays for our rival country aussies even though. Nor have i seen a american basketball playa play for canada

but i know that Japan's soccer , Basketball , rugby has shitloads of imported playas playing for their country. one time in Japanese basketball game , i saw 5 whole players who were american born.

Of course, popular sports such as football and baseball have large public support and do a lot better at the international level.

i mean for any national teams of any sports i believe that its gotta be made up of players who are native to those country up to certain numbers but i don't think it should matter if a few players are willing to give up their own nationalities in order to compete in the highest level of the game. however, if you're going to change your nationality, you better do it cuz you love the country as well, not just the glory.
