Oh the Gaultier-isms in this show are a-plenty. I love the satire; Anja throwing money, the print of her dress, and the music, while a theme of interplay between masculin and feminin, while questioning and reversing gender roles are pure Gaultier. This show, more than some of his more recent, is quite fun to watch, and the clothes are quite good. I see why he is regarded highly for cut and structure, particularly in tailoring.

I didn't understand the finale - can someone clarify? Were Coco and the other model "mud-slinging"? A study found very few people knew the conditions of the credit contracts they were signing - were the masks some kind of commentary about walking into things blindly? The messages in this show are deceptively complex... I think.
