@fx9860g as Egyptians we also suffer form the rudeness of some sellers in touristic places. Always negotiate the prices and if someone mistreats you you can always complain to the tourism police, they are usually around. Also, with cab drivers always ask at your hotel how much you should pay for the journey you want to take and tell the driver in advance this is what you will be paying. I hope you visit again and have a better experience

I have been to both, but I haven't seen this beach. The Red sea in general, doesn't have those white-sand beaches ... unless it's a very specific spot.
@medhatrafik Hey I would recommend Sharm and there are several hotels that are kids friendly. I'd recommend "Domina Sheik Coast resort" and Four Seasons
The Northern Coast and Matrooh, close to Alexandria have white sand beaches but the under water scenes are from the red sea, you can see the coral reefs and the dolphins that are usually known to show up especially at Marsa Alam

You can visit any time, and you'll have a very good time ... the only thing you have to be careful with is not to wear anything provocative ... and if possible travel with a male companion, also better be part of a tour as oppose to just on your own. Unfortunately things are not that easy for single women travelling to Egypt.
We are known to be friendly to foreigners& I know that many Americans have fears coming to the Middle East bec of the media. The worst thing that could happen to you is someone commenting on your country's foreign policy if they know you are American. Other than that, we are not violent to tourists, there are always plenty of security&even Israelis get to walk safely and freely in the country despite most of us not liking having them around until the Palestinian issue is resolved
Egypt is my home country and birth place. I am proud of it. I now live in NYC and when during the winter I miss the Egyptian Sun and the warm overthere.
When it is winter in New York, I wish I could just leave my job, get on an airplane and go home to Alexandria Egypt, to the nice hot sunny weather, away from the blizzard. I miss my mama, baba and rest of the family alot.

@fx9860g as Egyptians we also suffer form the rudeness of some sellers in touristic places. Always negotiate the prices and if someone mistreats you you can always complain to the tourism police, they are usually around. Also, with cab drivers always ask at your hotel how much you should pay for the journey you want to take and tell the driver in advance this is what you will be paying. I hope you visit again and have a better experience

Back in 98 the family and I went to Cairo. A vacation of 10 days turned into a 14 day event that is by far the best time I ever had!

I have been to both, but I haven't seen this beach. The Red sea in general, doesn't have those white-sand beaches ... unless it's a very specific spot.

The Northern Coast and Matrooh, close to Alexandria have white sand beaches but the under water scenes are from the red sea, you can see the coral reefs and the dolphins that are usually known to show up especially at Marsa Alam

Incredible history and unbelievable archeology with the dump of modern Egypt in between and all the scammers and hangers-on that you can believe. Also, not safe to go south as Egyptian 'non-security' allows for you to be kidnapped by Sudanese scum. Enjoy your holidays!!!

You can visit any time, and you'll have a very good time ... the only thing you have to be careful with is not to wear anything provocative ... and if possible travel with a male companion, also better be part of a tour as oppose to just on your own. Unfortunately things are not that easy for single women travelling to Egypt.

We are known to be friendly to foreigners& I know that many Americans have fears coming to the Middle East bec of the media. The worst thing that could happen to you is someone commenting on your country's foreign policy if they know you are American. Other than that, we are not violent to tourists, there are always plenty of security&even Israelis get to walk safely and freely in the country despite most of us not liking having them around until the Palestinian issue is resolved

When it is winter in New York, I wish I could just leave my job, get on an airplane and go home to Alexandria Egypt, to the nice hot sunny weather, away from the blizzard. I miss my mama, baba and rest of the family alot.
