I was just gonna go on about banksy being severely influenced by blek le rat , who has been doing stencils since the early 70s.. I.saw Blek in NYC last year and he had one piece that literally had the iconic "banksy ?" right in the bottom corner. The stuff is so similair you really wouldn't know who did what

I do enjoy Banksy's work very much and think it is very powerful and important . However, really it's all influenced by French artist Blek Le Rat, who predates him. If you think Banksy's art is detailed check out Blek Le Rat's on google!
