  • I have to say some of the music coming from the floats sounds much better but the new music over all sucks.

  • This parade brings back so many memories! I remember I had a movie on this parade when I was younger than 5. It freaked me out a little, but now I love it!

  • I have not seen this parade in a long time thanks you brings back memories.

  • Great video!!!

Haha someone dropped something at 8:13.

  • This is ticking me off!! I just want the old, original video. Like the tape!!!!

  • Not sure what you mean..This is the electrical parade. If you want to check out something cool, check out the Dreamlights parade from Tokyo. electrical parade on steroids!

  • I used to have that tape, but then we sold it in a garage sale right before we moved from California to Colorado! I miss that tape!

  • Wonderfully recorded! I miss this parade, I moved and haven't seen it in years. The best parade ever.

  • For trivia buffs, this was Disney's FIRST nighttime parade started WAY back in 1972 or thereabouts. It started originally at WDW, and then was included also in DLR. Jack Wagner "the voice of Disney" is credited with inspiring it. The music is called "Baroque Hoedown" and incorporates all the many "stories," Alice, Cinderella, etc. into one synchronistic soudntrack, all simultaneously complimenting each other. It was and still is one of Disney's BEST parades!

  • Allow me to correct you GLTilson. The parade did not start in WDW, but in DL in 1972. What started at WDW in 1971 was The Electrical Water Pageant. Bob Jani and Jack Wagner got together and thought of a way to have an Electrical Pageant, not on water, but on land as a parade in Disneyland, in an attempt to boost morale after the opening of WDW. Thus, we have the genesis of the MSEP on 07/17/1972, and it's been riding high ever since. WDW didn't get it until 1977.

  • Didn't the MSEP actually start on June 17, 1972?

  • Haw Haw Delightful! So Disarming, So Innocent Yet So Effective!

  • is this the sprecto magic Parade? i saw the spertco magic like 2 yrs ago its awasome

  • No. This is most definitely not SpectroMagic. It's true identity is the Main Street Electrical Parade.

  • Cool video! I took a lot of video of this parade this year myself. I haven't uploaded it yet. I rememeber I was going to go to the park that day and take some more video, but I got sidetracked. I did get there the next two days, however. Where were positioned for this video? And what is DPN WestFest? Sounds interesting. Come check out my videos.

  • The DPN is the Disney Podcast Network. Its a forum made up of a number of unofficial Disney pod and vidcasts. It's run by Jeff over at The Meandering Mouse. Check it out at www.disneypodcastnet.com. The Westfest is a day that a small group of the podcasters and forum members got together and had a great time at Disneyland and California Adventure.

  • Oh! Very cool! I'd love to be a part of that! Can I join? Do you guys also know Paul Barrie Jr.? The guy that does Windows To The Magic Podcast? I hung out at Disneyland with him back in July.

  • Paul is a memeber podcast of the DPN and puts in promos for the DPN as a whole. His cohort Mouseketeer Greg produced A Perfect Day at Disneyland part 5 that records the 2006 DPN WestFest. Check it out...Part 5 was released on September 23, 2006.

  • Very cool! I joined the network. I posted my own topic in the Disneyland section about the Main Street Electrical Parade. Check it out.

  • DPN WestFest is a HUGE Convention that occurs at DisneyLand where all the Disney Podcast Hosts meet their fans.

  • Oh, I know that now. I was there! ^_^
