The Taking was and always will be my favorite. It took me by complete surprise and just pulled me in. I wish I could find the movie I saw years ago that had a part in it that was like the book where people had no faces. I wonder if the book was written under a different name and later improved on.
I have the cutest little girl pussycat named trixie. She's my little torte. I hope some day Dean and his Trixie get experience the love of a pussycat. They can grow up like animal siblings. Wish I could have both but living in an apt. and working all day wouldn't be fair to any dog.
think my fav Dean Koontz character has got to be Odd Thomas, just bought Odd hours and canni wait to read the third installment of his Frankenstien series - he has delayed it to long over here!!!!!
One Door Away from Heaven, False Memory, Sole Survivor, From the Corner of His Eye, The Darkest Evening of the Year, The Good Guy, Midnight are good Deank Koontz books to! I love Dean Koontz, read every single book he has out!
Just Pre-Ordered:
Dead and Alive (Book three in the Dean Koontz's Frankenstein series) &
In 2007, Trixie contracted terminal cancer creating a tumor in her heart. The Koontzes had her put to sleep outside of their family home on June 30. Koontz plans to write a book about Trixie and to continue publishing "her" humorous essays on his website, which are to be authored by "totos", meaning "Trixie on the Other Side".
i am the proud owner of over 35 of his books, from some of his first, to ones that were just released. the very first book of his i read was Watchers when my friend recommended it, and i was hooked to his writing. no other author can compare to him. i never grow tired of his books, and on some, ive read them about 5
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Intensity, Hideaway, or Dark Rivers of the Heart. All are classy suspense novels. Koontz is nothing short of a juggernaut. It's amazing that anyone can be so prolific and consistently good.
Dean remains the best in the trade. Yea luv his work man, velocity was f* brilliant. And he gets better each time. And yea I rip myself cuz hes damn funny!
He rocks, if read every single book (incl Pseudonyms) and he remains awsum!! Kickass, taking but giving ;)
dude I'm on velocity now! I kinda stopped tho but u make me wana start up again! lol. wat the heck is the point on the gnome and this guys neighbor? lol. its kinda funni.
I must admit I prefer his older works. Even some of the stuff he wrote in the 70's, which had so much intensity even though they were relatively underdeveloped compared to his more contemporary stuff. He's still a great author though.
The Taking... took me months to get trough, and didn't really get into it. After than i read Life Expectatcy and WOW! I couldn't put it down, I read it in 3 days. LOVED it, then I read the Taking again... LOVED IT TOO.
I'm Now on The Face, Real Weird so far, I'm 287 pages in, I got anout 400 more to go.
Dean Your Great.
Amd Tamzatank. Your a Loser for even bothering with your comment.
The best book with Goldens is a toss up between The Watchers and The Darkest Night of the Year

@claireshana He hates all other animals. He likes dog only and critisizes all attempts to protect other animals.

I love it when Dean Koontz pretends to love animals.

The Good Guy is my favourite, but I never hear anyone talk about it.
I'm half way through Your Heart Belongs To Me right now, and I have to say it's a little boring. =(

Dean Koontz introduces the characters in the first chapter, then it just goes for a non-stop thrill ride.
