  • I READ THE BOOK ITS CRAZY .IT GETS YOU THINKIN BUT IM NOT GONA BECOME A VEGETARIAN

  • I love my raw meat! I eat dick

  • There is a plethora of opinion in the comments section... as usual.

  • canines are vestigial characters from our last common ancestor with vampires

  • Respect for animals, go vegan.

  • @respuestasveganas I do respect animals. but more so the planet. what do u think will happen if everyone suddenly became vegetarians? think about it.

  • i'm from "da hood" and this is an easy one . humans are not made to eat meat!! why u ask? its simple we dont and cant eat RAW MEAT!!!(PAUSE)LIONS DONT NEED THAT FRESH KILL ZEBRA TO BE SANITIZED,FDA OR USDA INSPECTED OR NADA.THEY RIPS RIGHT INTO THAT SHIT AND ITS A WRIZZAP!!WE ARE NOT BUILT LIKE CARNIVORES TO PHYSICALLY CAPTURE,KILL,AND DEVOUR ON THE SPOT. THE HUMAN MIND IS WHAT SEPARATES AND CORRUPTS US COMPARED TO OTHER SPECIES. CRAZY ASS ICE AGE REHAB NEEDIN' CAVE DWELLERS DIET!!! STOP IT!!

  • @5mtrain We don't eat raw meat because we don't have to. Much more convenient to get meat off a store and cook it nowadays. Like it is with most vegetables too. But when you imagine that Eskimos lived healthy lives on meat, you come to realise that humans are actually omnivores, life wouldn't have been possible in colder climates otherwise. Quality sources of meat are much healthier than any pesticide laden vegetables that some loons will consider eating raw.

  • @PFG666 so the meat u buy is clean?! super joke in many ways. 4 the BEST chance 4 optimum health, stop with animals and starch. and i at least know USDA AND FDA WERE NO WHERE NEAR THEM ESKIMOS.

  • If this doesn't stop people from eating fast foods nothing will.

  • I personally sometimes eat a purely meat diet. I get stronger, fitter and generally feel healthier - it is a hard diet to maintain because of all the nice sugary foods. Many people get the same benefits from eating a purely vegetarian diet, which I have tried and I felt lethargic and depressed. Instead of preaching to the consumers about how you feel good on a vegetarian therefore everybody must, try persuading the growers of the meat to do it in the most humain way possible, which is reasonable

  • Humans have most definitely evolved to eat meat AND vegetation. It is a FACT and I will produce web sites clearly outlining this if you feel that you can't trust me. What many people on both side of the argument don't comprehend is different people evolved to eat different things. Are you saying that some people should have a lowered potential of life because it hurts animals? I am not being sarcastic, I am simply asking a question... Yes or No?

  • @2042nicky

Got that right. Meat is good but fast food is terrible. I prefer wild game since it is healthier

  • This guy clearly has estrogen dominance. So sad it must be to be male but never know the feeling of being a man.

  • That's great that gorillas and orangutans don't eat meat... b/c it just so happens our CLOSEST relatives, the chimpanzees, DO eat meat (as omnivores). So using the argument that Gorillas, et al. don't eat meat goes against your evolutionary based arguments. I'm a vegetarian and like a lot of vegetarians I don't eat meat for a number of reasons... I just hope we are correctly educated on what the reasons are.

  • @hawkeye9811 oh yeah? what kind of meat do chimps eat?

  • @heylover3 They eat monkey's, among other thing. It makes up roughly 5% of their diet which is not an insignificant amount.

  • @heylover3, they eat other chimpanzees sometimes, and other small animals,....plus insects, particularly termites,

  • @heylover3 They eat meat of another small monkeys.

  • @heylover3 They do eat meat, they hunt small monkeys, along with a variety of other creatures & they are fond of insects such as termites

  • @heylover3 um yeah. they eat other monkeys. anything they can find really because it's SURVIVAL instincts. It's what we were made for, what our teeth were develped for. Vegan, vegetarian, it's a choice but it's fair for animals to cave into their natural insticts and sustain food chains

  • @heylover3 according to jane goodall who spent decades studying chimps, although they are primarily vegetarian, they have been documented hunting and eating insects, rodents, monkeys, wild pigs and even small antelopes

  • @heylover3

Monkeys, and they've been known to eat the young of other chimps

  • @heylover3 Chimps have been observed eating baby cheetahs and also baby chimps from other competing groups. They do not hunt, but will eat meat at any opportunity. Termites are protein also, and they even implement the use of tools to reach into a termite mound to have access to that protein. Not trying to be a pedantic dink, This is just physical anthropology 101.

  • Common chimpanzees do eat meat, but not much. Bonobos on the other hand are vegetarians.

  • Love you John. You're god-sent.

  • Robbins lost everything to Madoff.

He is not totally broke. Working at McDonalds.

Writing a book on how to start over.

  • they made us watch this in health class.

  • wow! i've never heard of that before. what year and grade where you in?

  • grade 7

  • thanks for posting these videos! I became a vegetarian 14 years ago after watching this documentary in middle school. the points Robbins makes are still relevant today and I am glad his voice is finally being heard and respected.

  • Wow, a dream deeper than the American dream. I never thought of it that way.

  • well, you're welcome! Glad to hear you've been veggie for so long! keep it up!

  • yey i love british columbia. id say we are the healthiest city in north america, well atleast in canada

  • British Columbia is a province not a city

  • Hey, I just took this video out from the library, but I think I'll watch it on here instead.

  • surely your video is higher quality lol

  • i don't think ice-cream is healthy food

  • it's one of the worst things you could put in your body, notice how i say 'things'

  • Such an important message and only 7000 views...really says it all!

  • I'm reading "Diet for a New America" now, and it's absolutely eye-opening and empowering. I love John Robbins, truly amazing writer and human being.

  • I agree.. try his new book, 'the Food Revolution'. This one is a updated version and has newer information!

  • John Robbins is a blessing to planet earth.

  • John Robbins is terrific and educated individual... Baskin and Robbins! People -listen to his words of wisdom.

  • peace on earth

  • Let it begin with us!

  • that guy talks like Zoolander!!

    AHAH!

  • this way of living, if applied by every human being, has the power to change the world, DRASTICALLY. Livestock outnumber human beings 3 to 1. They drink over 50% of all water consumed. And 20000 lbs of grain fed to cows produces 165 lbs of meat. What are people thinking??!! They are thinking mmmm, this artery clogging cheeseburger tastes good. Sick. Just plain sick.

  • You are aware that it was the consumption of meat that allowed our ancestors to climb outta the trees right? To develope larger and more complex brains? It was a major part of our evolution as a species....i say stick with what works....mmmm steak

  • That's just a theory another theory suggests that we ran out of food due to the ice age and thus we were forced to begin eating meat. Regardless eating meat now is killing us.

  • Even if that is true, we are not in the same situation that our ancestors were in. Meat is absolutely NOT working for us now.

  • Sorry sport there's absolutely no evidence to back this line, this riff which meat eaters like to hum. Humans are vegans.

  • There is not one facet of our physiology which backs your omnivore lie. We remain a vegan species and those who consume animal products drift along in poor health through their entire life and imagine they're healthy without even knowing what health feels like.

  • You're full of unsubstantiated conjecture.

Canines! LOOOOLLL Primates use their teeth primarily for display and striping succulent vegetables. Vegan Gorillas and Orangutans have massive canines - explain that! Our tiny little canines are for smiling as a harmlessness display.

Meat is indigestible for humans and the excess protein in omnivore diets creates acid conditions in human bodies leading to many diseases like arthritis and osteoporosis, etc.

  • @StexeGod in what way do you figure the body was designed to consume meat?

from our salavation methods, to sweat process, to eyesight, to intestine shape and size, to ph of stomach acid, to our jaw structure... all align with that of herbavores. so please share with me, the traits you find to show we are designed to consume animal flesh.

  • @heylover3 Humans are great at regulating body temperature through sweat - which means they can stalk large game till exhaustion - our eyesight might be great for a 'vegetarian diet' yet it in no way detracts from a meat one, our intestinal length is in between a dog and a cows and is significantly differently shape to a pure vegetarian animal and our jaw shape really doesn't effect our ability to eat meat, just like large canines don't effect a gorilla's vegetarian diet.

  • @heylover3, your body will indicate to you as to the usefulness of meat and animal products in one's diet. Strength of one's skin is one early indicator, particularly the lips. There will be differences of need with different people.

  • @heylover3 we can process hideous amounts of fast assimilating sugars too, but it's probably not a good idea to live on candy though.

  • Gorillas and Orangutans definitely DO NOT eat meat. They eat some incidental grubs and snails. Some juveniles have been observed eating termites but this is no indication of the norm and is no evidence that "canine" teeth have anything to do with a diet with a meat component.

Our body is not designed to eat meat, this is why humans get so unhealthy as they age, their bodies are exhibiting the symptoms of a life of excess protein (Arthritis, Osteoporosis, cancers, heart disease, stroke, etc.).

  • @thefutureisvegan you think your diet is healthier than a regular non vegan diet? you're kidding. meat is NOT indigestible. It is only SLIGHTLY harder to digest for a human.

  • Comment removed

  • @thefutureisvegan Excellent post.

  • @incrediblejessen . . . Correct.

Whenever I see a meat advert I see a giant red flag with a swastika on it.

When I hear a meat commercial I hear "Adolph Hitler's favourite flower" playing.

When I see a meat truck driver or a butcher I see an SS officer.

Whenever I see a meat eater I see a Nazi collaborator absolving themselves of blame in cowering brainwashedness.

There is no difference in the mentalities.

    The future is vegan . . .

  • you sir are an idiot. give me some examples of nazi medical advances that are proven and still around.

  • unfortunately that's the world's terminology. Besides, you understand what it's like to have denial, right?

Finally, you probably eat rotting dead animals full of parisites, pesticides, and fat and call it 'healthy'?

  • Neither to the non 'roid taking bodybuilders, but that's not good either.

    Enjoy your life

  • would be good except there is ZERO way that eating dead animals is sustainable ... takes too too much resources and sh*ts too too much :) And we're a great example of a society that's definitely not going to be long-lived if we continue down our path. Check into most of the developing world. Much lower cancer/heart disease/disease at all rates and much lower animal product consumption rates. 1 + 1 = 2.

    Good luck.

  • And every legit researcher knows that most of the US get far TOO MUCH protein (about only country with so much Kidney desease from that).

So are you a pro body builder? Going for Mr. Universe?

Bill Pearl won the professional Mr. Universe title in 1971, at the age of 41, without the use of steroids and as a vegetarian.

There are many Vegan bodybuilders too (try google) or start with veganbodybuilding com

    Good luck.

  • ohhh, haven't you been reading? "small" business like ... *GE*, etc. are realizing that green makes $green$. update your program or get left in the dust (bowl).

  • Only watch if you have the balls to! He's book "made me" give-up dairy & eggs! ~6 years later all I have to show for it is even better health, practically know signs of aging, and even better karma :(

  • Yeah, selling your soul, the earth (Global Warming) and people's heath for bucks is SO COOL!

  • Thank you for posting this video.

  • yeah..bur he's telling you something so listen up stoopid.

  • HAHAHAHA owned lol
