  • Great Landing Welldone - lovely demonstration of correct approach speed, and constant approach angle. Looks like a great place to visit! (I fly in the UK, so hard to find spots like that!!)

  • Tricky indeed! Closest to death I've ever been (that I know of). I was a very foolish newly minted private pilot who tried to go there to celebrate having received my license. Tried a standard approach (didn't follow the river). Didn't get down in time. Had to go around. Barely missed the power lines. Barely cleared the ridge. Went to Baxter County Regional instead.

  • Nice job! That was my first soft field landing. My instructor took me down there from PLK on a cloudy day and bought me lunch. On the take off we were smasning through the puddles on the runway. I've always wanted to go back.....

  • very nice flair, nice landing. I never landed there, but one time did a low fly-by in 1989

  • Field Goal!

  • Following the river the most spectacular way to fly into Gastons. Just watch and listen for departing aircraft coming the other way

  • Awesome! And what a beautiful area!

  • Very nice vid and landing!
