  • You've got mail!

  • does anybody have any hard-use experience with this knife? does the tiger stripe pattern wear off the blade?

  • I'm not that good with computers, what website can I get a zt302?

  • @daboodeef179 The coyote brown model is discontinued, so the 0302 model will be hard to find. Our Ranger Green and Black models are still out there; you should be able to find at your common knife dealers (search "ZT 0300" in Google). If you are still having trouble, give us a call at 1-800-325-2891 or email us at info@kai-usa.com and we'll be able to give you a concise list. Hope that helps out :)

  • thumbs up if you think that the MSN sounds was from your computer and u checked ur msn xD

  • what exactley is a speed safe?

  • @OregonBackpacker Its a Ken Onion designed assisted opener that makes the knife open faster.

  • zero tolerance is kind of a bad name. sounds like the blade can't stand up to anything

  • @mochalucha or that it don't take crap from nobody.

  • @mochalucha OR that they accept nothing but the best.

  • whats the pocket clip held on with? im getting the 302 and want to switch it to tip up carry

  • @ZeroDragondelta9 Its held on with two screws.

  • @customtacticals torx bits im guessing

  • @usermalfuntions There is pressure on the bar when it is closed, yes. ZT will send you a new bar if it ever breaks.

  • i think the speed safe functions for in handle blade retention as well so removing it may not be a good idea

  • @joenkrystel Agreed - It does, as there is no detent in the speedsafe knives, but it can be modded as there is still a ball.

  • Looks sweet i'm gonna have to ask my dealer to order me up one.

  • Spring assist?

  • Your a fuckin GOOF!!!

  • @loosertubesucks GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF - you say it like you just got out of Juvi.

  • i would cut off a inocent mans head with a dull sword to get my hands on one of those.. i wish kershaw would make a more afordable verson of that that looks identical but not as good materials...

  • @hotbarrel49 That is dedication...

  • dude sweet vid, thumbs up,

  • Donnie wants to fight , someone, somehow ... ah , puberty !

  • Fatass of a knife...

What took away all my interest was the framelock. I will never trust those. Lockback, piston lock, or arc-acuator only. Frame locks / liner locks are just a cheap design.

  • warriors and wonders rocks, nice to have a knife store nearby, im on the island.

  • good looking knife!

  • You can't go wrong with ANY ZT. My 200 is tough as nails and I've beaten the shit out of it in the year I've had it. Locks up rock-solid and holds a great edge with the 154cm. For the price, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good strong folder.

  • Ive stabbed someone with this.

they tried to mug me, they pulled a gun and i got em in the leg.

    Fucker, thanks to kershaw.

  • @slatan420 and youre telling this on youtube? thats probably even more brace than stabbing some fuckers.

  • @DonnieCallister thumbs up for you.

You could say i have zero tolerance.

  • Real nice knife Bro!!

  • As seen on NCIS owned by Gibbs.

  • @DeltaBravo1216 AND tony dinozzo. even though he has the 300.

  • @DeltaBravo1216 really?? what episode?

  • @OregonBackpacker the most recent one episode it's showed up on is when Vance is hospitalized, Gibbs hands him his knife (I believe it was this one)

  • What's the point of the g10? Why not make both sides titanium?

  • @3dviman weight could be a point in their design of making one side g10 instead of both titanium

  • 1:38 Nice MSN sound

  • i heard these knives are immpossible to sharpen? are these knives sharpenable? or is the steel just too hard

  • Until I handled one of there at the local Knife store this knife did not impress me. After having it in my hand...I will be getting one. Its a hefty knife, well built, opens quick and feels like a quality blade. If you prefer a lighter knife, go w/ a SOG. I like a larger knife. I carry a CRKT M21 and dont mind the weight in my pocket, the ZT 302 is not much heavier.

  • Would this knife be good for "social situations"? In your opinion?

  • whats the diferene between 301 and 302?

  • the 301 has a green handle and the 302 has a tan handle; like the one he has in the vid

  • I'd be pissed if my last name was onion.

  • This knife is heavy ( real Heavy) dont even think about wearing it with dress pants. its built well but I turned around and put it on ebay

  • so it's assisted. great review 5/5

  • i believe you've got a message! :D

  • Lol i thought it was me but t wasnt lol

  • i love this style of robust large folder and own a couple. however, i am left-handed and thus looking for options that have axis-like or lock-back locking mechanisms. what leftly-friendly blades/makers/brands in this category would you recommend looking at?

    thanks in advance.

    excellent review. keep them coming.

  • @bak474evr i'm a lefty too. really sucks that you have to switch your hand or use your index to close it. especially as you dont want to have your index in the way of a razorsharpe blade. did you have any success with your research? would really lik to know if the 302 is on the market in a lefty version as well. are there any lefty folders at all?

    greatings

  • @DonnieCallister As far as what i found, a great large-category folder that is truly ambidextrous is the Benchmade Rukus 610. Love mine. It is a great option for a lefty. If you have a chance to put one in that southpaw and manipulate it you will know what I mean. Plenty of options for the smaller class of knifes. But in general: Cold Steel, Benchmade, SOG, and Spiderco have a solid set of ambidextrous offerings.

  • @bak474evr cool! thx man. goes on my list :-)

  • thats a huge fuckin blade

  • this knife is my EDC. If it is too heavy for you, you may want to do some situps and stop wearing thong panties. This knife is a wonderful defensive tool and EDC knife. People that complain about weight shouldnt carry a knife anyway

  • Some cutting tasks do call for smaller blades though. The 0302 is just a tank. So then carry multiple blades. :-D

    Daily Carry System:

    ZT 0200

    Spyderco Tenacious/Kershaw Blackout

    SOG Powerlock/Leatherman Wave

  • he speaks the truth!!!

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES OMG LOL

  • collecting

  • To kill grizzly bears.

  • Skinning pigs.

  • just curious im guessing your not in the military so what do you use this knife for sense its a little to heavy for edc purposes.

  • subscripton for subscription??

  • Hey I got a question, I live in Canada, is this knife allowed in Canada? Because it is part assisted opening right?

  • I live in Ottawa and I've seen it in stores so it must be ok.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought guns were pretty common over there

  • I need one.

  • nice breitling

  • i love the blade

  • Thanks so much for posting this... You totally just sold me on one! Dang. There doesn't seem to be any reason to spend the bucks on a Strider now.

  • This knife is too big to be carried comfortably in a pocket.

  • assist spring? really nice knife though

  • ya, its ken onion speedsafe.

  • wow that was fast, is this assisted opening???????

  • U have an E-MAIL !!

  • is that real damasco steel ?

  • s30v made in usa whats not to understand :D

  • damasco steel ? what's that ?

  • damasco steel comes from germany somewhere if im correct it actually looks like layers of metal folded repeatedly for super strength. pretty sure that knife isn't damasco steel just painted

  • metalcraftsman make damasco steel a bit around the world...there are many secrets to its manufacturing...it's said to have a high concentration of carbon...and the steel is worked for days in the fournesses...it was a work only done by families, because of the secrets and the several turns people toke working around high temperatures, wich is very , very , hard , for days...i heard something about camel piss too though...lololoolool

  • @doldei WOW! you guys have no idea, huh? :-)

YES, there is a a "knife-town" in germany called SOLINGEN. And they do badass knifes, like ceramic (mostly for the kitchen though).

And YES, damascus is origined in the middle east. Lets face it: the chinese figured how to fold steel when we were still throwing stones.

so NO: it doesnt look like folded steel – it actually is.

and the grain always goes parallel to the blade. therefor it is a paintjob.

so. stop fighting - start googleing. CHEERS!

  • Buddy, Damasco steel certainly did not originate from Germany. Damascus steel originated from where the name suggested, Damascus. It is a city in the Middle East.

  • ok. its damascus, and of course not, theres no possible wayt that you can have a damascus steel blade with the stripes like that and not have it fall apart

  • Very nice..cool watch too.

  • i like it it's just the blade is fat it's wide

  • I don't care what you say, that looks bad ass.

  • How much do these usually go for?

  • about 300 dollars

  • $200 - $230

  • Does anyone know what the factory grind angle is on this knife? Was wondering how well it would work with my sharpmaker.

  • They are legal to carry here, hence not useless. Pull-ups with a knife.. sounds real useful - typical cold steel marketing.

  • lmfao yeah.. cold steel is rediculous, they show stuff you would NEVER do, and the cutting tests are something most any sharp knife can do...

    manilla rope?? leather gloves?!

what goes through lynn thompsons head...

  • I bet their ultra tough uber-badass khukri machete would ;-)

  • so sad i wanna cry

  • where is this knife shop in vancouver? i cant find any good shops locally

  • well in richmond a good place is house of knives. in vancouver its wizards and warriors, i dont no where it is it moves alot but just google them

  • If your gonna carry something that big why not just carry a fixed blade?

  • carry around a fix blade around town could intimidate some people. this knife is wide but should fit in a pocket nicely and very concealable . there is no better way to carry a 3-4" blade around than in a folder form IMO. i just cant find a way to carry a fix blade without looking like a freak.

  • I carry a RAT 3 around an people seem ok with it. Of course, I probably should get a concealed carry liscense...

  • because fixed blades are twice as long.... lol

  • "lol"??

    Really?

Your going to end your argument with a "lol"?

  • it wasnt an argument m8... it was just a matter of opinion and logical answer.

  • Get a job first then make up your mind once you have cash in hand.Look the 302 is a Stider blade and is Strider heat treated. That Stryker is like a chicks knife and is weak compared to the 302.

  • what do you guys think is better. i was thinking about getting a benchmade mini rukus with silver g10 handels, or should i just get this knife, or a stryker and a mchenry williams benchmade?

  • Get the 302 it blow away those others your talking about.I promise you will be happy with the 302

  • cool im getting a job soon so that will be my first or second purchase. thanks for the feedback

  • just remember the 302 is HUGE compared to the others. its alot heavier and takes up alot more pocket room. all of those benchmades are great knives and plenty strong for what most of our edc tasks require. im sure one of the benchmades would do what you want and still be hungry for more. the 302 is a great knife tho.

  • ya well i got that job so i will have that knive within a month or 2. im saving up for ither a custom kirby, around 800$ or a really nice bass guitar. or i might just get like 6 benchmades. anyway i have a list iand i feel like a snob because the cheapest knife on it is a corbon fiber cali 3, but that will change it always does.

  • mmmm

  • The ZT 302 model is built like a tank it is as good if not better than a Strider folder. The lock on it is part of the frame and is solid Titanium. You wont have to worry about lock failure with it. For 200 bucks I cant belive that Strider would help make a knife with another company that is on par to the Strider line. The fit and finish is excellent and it came razor sharp out of the box. If you dont have one get one you wont regret it.

  • I love the 302

  • Hello breitlingsource, thanks for the info. I bought a 302 on e-bay. I got it new for $174 with shipping. Now I am thinking about the Strider SMF RW1. If I can find a extra $500 laying around I'll get it....

  • Hello CT, great review. I am buying either the ZT 302 or the BM Skirmish. I was wondering which one you like best? Thanks again for the reviews...

  • I prefer the 302, but the Skirmish is really nice too. They have a different "feel" to them. The 302's have a sort of crisp, colder, strider-like feel, whereas the Skimrish has more rounded, warmer, smoother feel to it.

  • The blade is too big to be legal as a carry?

  • Tyrade VS ZT 0300, which one is better?

  • How sharp is it out of the box?

Also, is there a metal liner under the G-10 scale or is it pure G-10?

The reason I ask is I wanna know if there's any metal in which to attach the pocket clip screws on the left side, or if you attach them in only the G-10.

  • These are really high quality. You can find them used on knife forums for about $180-190.

  • I'd spend the 250$ on it and lose it in the woods the next day

  • LOL i was thinking the same thing

  • That's better than spending $400 on an AR and losing that one.

  • That's funny. I'd do it and then it would get dark and I'de loose my $125 flashlight too. Then I'd fall and rip my Gortex pants, smack my head on a log and break my bow. I'm going to Hessmart to get a knife.

  • answer the question below haha :)

  • Whats you're vote The ZT 0302 or Strider AR ? I was lookin into the strider AR but cant bring myself to drop that kind of money. But for this knife. Definitely.

  • i want this question answered as well

  • if you can't bring yourself to spend on the Strider, definately buy this one. To be quite honest, I would buy this one either way. The Strider is bigger, and seems tougher as a knife, however. Also the blade shape of the AR is more practical.

  • looks kinda like a skinning knife

  • i'm just curious if the handle is made out of plastic or metal?

  • Neither.. it is a composite called G-10.

  • Beautiful knife. Does anyone know whether these are available in Toronto?

  • how durable are these knives, can they be dropped and still be ok?

  • Easily... they are definately hard-use knives

  • Sweet review.

I love the MSN noises in the background.

  • i wish it was black only, the black side looks awesome

  • 0300 is all black

    0301 is ranger green

    0302 is coyote brown

  • nice knife!

  • Never owned a Kershaw but these look very nice...

  • Im in love! Where can i get one?:P

  • just ordered one also, lets hope its a long lasting knife

  • how many $ does it cost???

  • that is some serious massive shit dude, awesome.

  • Can you review the ZT 121?

  • Beauty knife! good vids! Respect!!!

  • I'm getting the 0200..don't really like assisted openers.

  • MercWorks makes some Sick knives man....I got the Sniper one.

  • I had a Mercworks Lachesis and it was pretty sweet.

  • Very good review. Now all I have to do is wait for an ebay deal to come along.

  • CustomTacticals,

I just got my 302... And I agree it is a beautiful knife! This knife is not for the faint of heart:)

Now how can I change the color of the 302 scales to black???

    1InsideMan

  • Not sure if you can do that in a simple way.. you'd have to have some black ones made.. I suppose you could paint them, but that would look like crap.

  • this knife is to bulky... but its nice... although i wouldnt want it

  • Definitely a nice knife, and on my wanted list, but I doubt it measures up to Strider folders as you say. Striders are on a whole other level compared to any other folders I've ever handled, handling and using them is the only way to truly appreciate how good they really are.

  • Comparing this with my 2 strider SnG's and my Strider AR, I believe this offers better value for money. I do appreciate my Striders, I have owned 6 of them over the years, but this is my opinion based on my experience.

  • very nice, ggreat info but the blade is to wide and thick for me.... im more thin long stilleto

  • great video man, and i have bin looking all over for this knife were did you get it?

  • Great review. My wallet is now a little lighter thanks to your video.

  • dooooooope

  • Awesome review! I've wanted this knife for awhile now, but now I want it even more.

I have a ZT 0200 which I actually ordered from Warriors and Wonders. It is quite a nice folder and very affordable for what you are getting.

  • Are these Zero T's assisted openers?

  • These ones are, but not all of them.

  • Great looking knife! Interesting frame lock design I'll keep and eye out for these blades. Another great review! thanks.
