Hi Wallimann ! I love your sound, I have a parker p-38, is this a good idea to put custom Parker Nitefly pickups or what DiMarzio pickups combination (Bridge, Middle, Neck) do you recommend ?
@nqbo I never played with the P-38. I feel that because of the wood used in the Nitefly, the change of pickups doesn't affect your tone as much as it should. I currently use the following:
Hi walliman, awesome pickup demo! Actually i ordered a dimarzio evo2 set after watching your fred vs evo demo.. I want to know your opinion, what's a good middle PU to balance the evo? I want fat single coil sound for funnk and blues. Thanks
hey mann, i really think we got things really similar, i mean our guitars...i wish i got your skills of coz... i got a nitefly and fly classic... i love the action of the classic and the sound of the nitefly, the nitefly just sounds so good coz it s sounds so organic and r... articulate ...and i changed the stock pickups to area 61, 58 and notron, really quite similar to yours, but i think there just arent enough treble on the neck pickup, do you like the area 67 there?
Your Parker sounds amazing. I had a Fly Deluxe (like that magic blue one in the background), and it truly played like a dream. I sold it, however, because it sounded like @ss. LOL! I couldn't change pickups because of the super-thin body. Yours truly sounds awesome, and you can make it talk with your playing. You're running through an 11 Rack...how do these pups sound through an amp? Just curious, as I know how an amp modeller made my Fly sound decent, but through an amp...ugggh. :-)
I'm sorry that I keep asking these obnoxious questions, but you are the only person that seems to know these kind of things. I got pinned in between 2 parkers. The southern nitefly or the dragonfly df series. Im seriously thinking of buying the southern nitefly ....but i'm worried that this telecaster impersonation cant handle the power.... I'm talkin about petrucci/heavily distorted/powerful stuff? What do you think? I obviously want it for the nice and soft stuff too. Thanks for the help :D
What styles of music can this guitar play? Obviously very sexy awesome jazz and fusion. But how about progressive metal or thrash... can it handle it?
I checked this video out because I'm in the market for a new axe and very interested in the NiteFly, unfortunately, I got far too lost in your playing to take anything else in properly ;)
I used to have a JS1000 that had a FRED in the bridge and I loved it, really articulate and it accents overtones you don't hear in a lot of humbuckers.
how do you do that?......i mean geting better.....every time i watch one of your videos, i see more feeling more melody more technique.....congratulations!!!!!! great!!!!
@Wallimann Yes, I read that in your Description Box. I have an HP, so I use Sony Acid Pro 7.0 and Sony Vegas 9.0 to do my Videos. I need to work on capturing a better Tone, though, as there are only a few videos of mine where I am satisfied. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoy your Videos, and Thank You for sharing your Skill, Knowledge, and Talent!

Neck: Dimarzio Chopper
Mid: Dimarzio virtual solo
Bridge: Dimarzio Evolution

@prabowoputra Cool! I'm currently using the "Virtual Solo" in the mid. Seems to work well for what you are looking for. Also check out the Chopper...

@Saldtch Man, that is quite interesting!
I actually just changed pickups again. In order from neck to bridge:
Chopper - Virtual solo - Evolution.
I liked the 67 too. :-)

@Sweeper5 Thanks a lot!
The Nitefly sounds really good with anything.
The Fly Deluxe shown in the background is OK, but not that great soundwise I think...
I would love to change the pickups in that!

@mashafasha5 I haven't played either of those, but my guess is that the Dragon would be more versatile?
Although I'm sure that the Southern Fly can handle high gain too.
