I have fraps, thats not the point though, it plays fine. Im not bragging, just debunking what people say about needing some sort of supercomputer to run it.
And actually, my monitor is only 17 inch so the resolution isnt that high.
crysis on the 8800 gts 512 on dx10 with all settings on high/ultra high and high with anti aliasing resolution gets 10 -15 frames at 1024*768 and on medium no aa it gets 25 -30 fps
Try to get Ati's New ATi Radeon 5870X2 that are gona be realised late 2009/early 2010 hell i think i can get 200FPS with three of them, i heard their gona make crossfire better that now can support as much as 6 to 8GPUs Oorha this gona beat nVIdia back to stona ages!
u know, for shadows detail, medium and high look pretty similar.. so its smart by putting it on medium for better performance, and strangely if u tone down the sound settings your get better fps during gameplay
High shadow: The distance at which visible objects cast shadows is slightly reduced, and the edges of all shadows are slightly more distinct and less soft.
Medium shadow: Distant shadows are reduced further, and general shadow resolution is also reduced, which makes shadows slightly less detailed.
The sound setting on high lowers performance if you use the onboard sound card, the cpu has to do the sound. But if you have and external one (pci slot) the sound card does the sound.
Bleh, Crysis can't run smoothly for me on high, only medium, but then again I've only clocked my e4400 to 2.66ghz, when I went to 3ghz it started crashing.
Although I do run higher resolution so I'll try lower one with high I guess.
which OS?

whats the difference from t1 and t2 ??
MikeDole1 3 years ago
@nv650nv Mention of sound is not actual gameplay sound you hear, i've noticed that it's kind of texture specific setting.

Hey man i can run crysis on all high settings as well with DX10 and with a 8800 GTS 320mb which i found a bit surprising lol.
benjaminexell 4 years ago
320mb is more than enough for resolution below 1024x1024 on medium to high, for crysis anyway.
nv650nv 4 years ago
Ive got 1024x1024 res on it as well but when i get my nvidia 9 series i will be able to whack everything on very high settings and max resolution :D
