Also, you have to buy a new ipod every couple of years because the japanese people are desperate for money. when i was watching the part on the new nano, which i already have, i thought about what would happen if you washed it. well, with me being a very forgetful person, i did a few weeks back. it still works fine. the light was a little messed up for about a week, but after i charged it for a few days it was fully operational again. but please, dont wash yours and complain if it messes up. i was lucky:)

It really depends on what the settings are on your Nano. If you keep the brightness at say 75% and the backlight on for about 10 seconds, it will last you for about 12 hours or more( thats what mine gets). So overall its got excellent battery life. But for all the ipod models, when you play videos it drinks battery like a hummer drinks gas so be-warned.

The reason you probably went up to 4 hours is because you probably kept the blacklight on for too long or something like that. By 35 hours they probably meant 35 hours with NO blacklight on at all.

The blacklight is the light that comes on when you touch the scroller or center button of your ipod to help you see the menus better. And yeah, it's in the settings. You can turn it off completely or just set it to a timer (2 seconds, 5seconds, 10, and so on) A lot of people have it on constantly which completely drains the power away.

IPOD NANO 3G .......some people might disagree but my friend has the nano 3g for quite sometime and i have the 4g.......the 4g is really sow once u add up more n more songs and especially videos.....there is only one good feature--it has coverflow which the 3g doesnt have.....but overall i think u should go for the 3g(i regret having my nano 4g)
